That was as always going to happen. There's no way news of that magnitude could be kept under wraps.
There was no way it would ever have been an easy transition. If he'd waited till end of season the club would have been in the shit looking for a replacement with little time. If he'd said at the start it would have been like when Ferguson announced it and it destabilised them.
