I'd also just add (it's all ifs, buts and maybes I know, but we fans can speculate - it's the players who need to take it one game at a time) that if that Man City v Arsenal game were to be a draw, then neither improves their goal difference.

A win for us against Brighton would eat into that +7 lead Arsenal have over us and add on to the +4 gap we have over Man City in that department.

Even Mark Goldbridge has called out that shithouse Doku decision from yesterday.and also highlighted the collective furore after the drop ball decision against Forest but pretty much fuck all after that yesterday.

He is always pretty fair to be honest. Calls it as he sees it, regardless of club allegiance.

Most United fans say he is a closet Liverpool fan, but then most fans - our own (often on here) included cannot take their club specs off.

    Goldbridge is bloody brilliant imo

Should have won 3-1 yesterday even before the obvious penalty, which would have ended 4-1

Oh well all we can do is move on, so many wasted chances.

I really hope it doesn't come back to fuck us in the arse @ end of season

Yep Diaz was utterly superb in all aspects bar the finish. And that so often is the difference between winning a title and missing out.

That would have been his scout report before we signed him.

Gakpo is out of form - it happens.

Scored 4 goals in 6 appearances in the League Cup, so if we do go on to win a Double, Treble or Quad then he has played a part.

Hope we can cope with our remaining fixtures. Nice to have it in our hands (when it comes to Man City at least) via being a point ahead, rather than a point ahead.

Win all our games and they can't stop us, whereas they know there's a chance they could win all of their games but fail to win the League.

Having lost out to them twice via a single point, it would be just lovely to win the League by a solitary point ourselves.

Long way to go yet - so glad that Brighton game is at Anfield!
