Suprised if we don't drop pts in 1 of the 3 next away fixtures everton and fulham then west ham 3 days apart each....

amazed how we're playing if we get 9 pts.... think it'll be the end of the race sadly. Jota injury cost us, but the others aren't good enough. even if we get past them spurs at home and Villa away after

Expected more they should be doing it for Klopp, he deserves it.

Oh well always the europa, hopefully we make it to final & have full squad healthy.

Three meetings. Eighty-seven shots. But no victory for Liverpool over Manchester United this season.

Laughable really, goalkeeper must be world class.

They have created more Opta-defined 'big chances' than those title rivals too. Six more than Man City and 14 more than Arsenal.

"but we score a lot of goals"

FOUR-TEEN more than ARSENAL!!!!!!! and they're top scorers

It's completely pointless at the end of the day.

One final note.. Bit of a shame that almost nobody wanted to credit Elliott who once again came on and improved us measurably.

There is a definite agenda against him similar to the one Jones suffered.

Should be starting ahead of Szobo in my opinion.
He does seem to be better off the bench but overall he contributes way more to the team, people a few weeks ago were waxing about Mainoo after his Englesi appearance. Elliot has done way more, over 100 appearances at his age is fantastic but it goes unnoticed.

Tough call there and it is no reflection on Elliott's quality - he is an excellent little player.

However his main limitations are his (lack of) pace and his capacity to over-commit to the press at the wrong times. This can create gaps behind him and with him playing on the right-hand side where we will generally have a forward-thinking full-back (be it Trent or Bradley) then we expose the half-space in transition while pacey opposition players are fresh.

Coming on from the bench he is often up against players who have less desire to sprint into our channel (players tire) and he also gets a little extra time on the ball as fading sides leave gaps due to being stretched - gaps he can exploit.

He's at his best coming on from the bench, basically. So although his excellent cameos probably earn him a start on merit, I think we'd lose the best of him.

As an aside, given his passing vision, I'd be curious (even for one game, perhaps not this League campaign though) to see him beside Mac Allister in a double-pivot given his vision. Could be a failed experiment, but one I want to eventually see all the same.

No-one’s had an agenda with either people have spoken of their weaknesses & them needing to improve Jones has finally got there or thereabouts but we had seasons of him not being at the level

Elliott is no different, he’s improved a great deal this season, finally getting near to the level of a very handy squad player, had a few great cameos, then not delivered when given a start & is now a great option to bring on just now for those reasons
