    Your team v Fulham

A difficult selection dilemma for this game.

On the one hand, it seems simple to pick your strongest XI when you are still in a title race. That's a given, really.

On the other, our form over the last 5 League games does not correlate well with a side that is in need of 6 wins to have an outside shot of a title. We looked energy-depleted and low on ideas, which means a side best-equipped to win a match may not be our best-XI on paper.

I'd start a couple of younger players here - just a couple. I imagine that will be seen as defeatist, but it's not about "giving in" at all - I think the fearlessness and energy with which youth play might be a percentage gain rather than fielding almost exactly the same familiar faces. How we play is no secret and our mixed form and low confidence is no secret either so something needs to be different.

    ..........................Alisson

    Trent....Quansah....Van Dijk... Robertson

    ...........................Endo

    ...............Elliott.........Clark

    .........Jota.......Danns........Núñez

Front three with license to rotate and naturally make use of subs throughout the game - lads like Mac Allister or Salah could come into this match and I would definitely stick Mac Allister in one of the 8s due to this vision rather than the 6 for this.

Won't be to many's liking, but it's not like Jürgen will pick this line-up anyway so my having a different approach to some hardly matters.

    AB
    Trent
    Van Dijk
    Quansah/Konate
    Robertson/Gomez
    Endo
    Jones
    Gravenberch
    Jota
    Nunez
    Salah

Since all the attackers are out of form, i would not drop the most important one in Salah (would just sub him earlier if he is not performing), Gakpo linked well but still didn't seem to be able to be in a place to score a goal.

These lads need to remember they dominated City like I’ve never seen any team do for the second half of their game in March and were only denied a victory by corrupt officiating

In a starting line up including: Kelleher Gomez Bradley Quansah & Elliott

MUST win game 3 points minimum requirement No excuses

Not bothered how, if we play a little more conservatively & grind it out as we did so many in 19-20 I’ll be well happy

For some reason I don't think we have a good record away to Fulham. The last 3 visits there we havent won. A shitty 1-0 will do. Just get through this week of 3caway games and who knows.

A long long shot, but it's all we have left to play for now. I don't see us winning all 3 though.
