Jurgen Klopp jokes that he hopes it is raining when Liverpool play Wolves on the final day so fans will not be able to see his tears.

They were all excellent until the subs thrn excellent although not at the same level when they recovered control of the game

Today was Elliott’s best game in a Liverpool shirt in a country mile, like he did or was helped to do what I was saying someone needed to do with Nunez, he put it all together all his decent performances, cameos best bits & nearly moments where he could have done better into one performance getting a great assist after an excellent press & a stunning goal & his work without the ball was excellent He played some really good passes but can learn a lot from Mac - Now he has to put all that together at even higher levels v Villa

After a couple of early poor giveaways Macca was absolutely majestic his passing & movement & pressing & counter pressing & positioning was top class throughout, the entire short sequence of him spotting what was on when just outside their area, moving to a position to receive it and playing a no look pure filth first time weighted pass to release Trent was dripping with class

Gakpo Mo Trent Robbo Endo was great Virgil Big Bear Quansah (with the ball)

Really great variation of different things we’ve been great at in different seasons & haven’t used enough in moments, like we put everything together again as a team too

Klopp on Bajcetic’s cameo “it was like bring on the motorway with your bicycle” an instant classic

It was too early for the lad

It was just another part of what makes Jurgen such a one off, and why we will miss him so so much,

Typical of his readiness for self deprecation. Might have been very different to the jovial delivery had we lost.

Truth is following their subs and ours the game went back to the first 10 minutes - with Spurs the major threat and us lacking focus. That’s how most games have gone this season at the start. 23 of them at least. Us asleep - and having to wake up and claw back a result. Luckily we didn’t go behind and managed to hit the net 4 times which always makes things easier.

That mid/late second half dropping of the bollock was very reminiscent of the game v City in 2018 only that day it was 4:1. This time 4:0 up and coasting….but coasting too much and then we open the door a little, (Gomez caught napping imo) 4:1 - (Grav culpable a little Trent just leaves Charlie to do as he pleases) 4:2 and the crowd transmit the nerves.

    God we will miss this.

It really is a simple game complicated by idiots and Jurgen cuts right through so beautifully.

There were a few signature moves & something for everyone in that performances, some great through balls from Mac Elliott Trent & Mo, great crossing from Gakpo Robbo Elliott & Trent, some great switches from Endo Trent Elliott Mac & Virgil plus Robbo’s cross that ended up a switch for our fourth & some nice link up with better coordinated and timed movement & positioning & better chances & finishing as a result

First goal classic old school 19-20 Liverpool move great No6 to LFWD medium to long diagonal to find Gakpo in space by Endo great cross & a great run and finish by Mo

Second goal Trent released wide right like of old but quite brilliantly by Macca in a more sexy football way & great cross by Trent to pick out Robbo, full back to full back like of old & Robbo picks Mo out nicely & then follows in to stab home the keepers parry

Third goal, great recovery by Robbo to then find Diaz in space, decent switch left to right diagonsl from deep by Diaz for Mo, Mo proves a handful for the defender & Elliott presses quickly to dispossess him then side step the defender to cross for Gakpo to score with a great header

Fourth goal full back to full back, Trent finds Robbo with a brilliant long diagonal from RB to LFWD to find Robbo in space, Robbo looks up puts the cross in early, it ends up being a switch to Mo via the defender, he feeds Elliott who bursts past Bentancur into space outside the box before driving a lovely left foot curler into the top left corner

Definitely something from everyone there & nice to the all the best bits put together in one performance a nice combination of old & new

The pressing & counter pressing & positioning in it & blocking of lines & consistent great positioning in all areas until the subs was brilliant to see, I haven’t seen us do a lot of those things like that in too long

I really like the improved communication too

Don’t think I’ve seen quite a few of them shout point & gesture where and when they want the ball like that in quite some time The desire, wanting the ball & demanding it when they were the best placed players too, Mo with his hand up for the ball to catch the peripheral mission & pointing where he wants it when they spot him not seen that in a long time, nice

It was all really clear & coordinated

That’s a lovely ball by Endo for Gakpo, Hendersonesque but with more refined technique does the same job, but I understand it is more aesthetically pleasing

Gary Neville “And I just think that’s amazing defending from Joe Gomez, he may follow through & kick Johnson in the head, but, what else is he expected to do”

The best piece of commentary of his entire life

That one piece of play is what annoys me about today's game. For me, that's brilliant defending. For others, it's a stone wall pen because the foot his high and "endanger" the attacker. Might as well ban any contact at all.

I thoroughly expected a penalty to be given. If they hadn't fucked up on the Gakpo one I think it would have been.
