Ah, 16th spot - we were there 6 games into the 10/11 season, with an almighty points tally of six under the steady stewardship of Roy Hodgson.

Could have been worse - we could have been in 19th.....which we were after 8 games, still on 6 points....

Scary. I would love to see the Mancs embroiled in a flirt with relegation, but sadly don't think we'll ever quite see it. What I would settle for is a sustained spell of them not having access to the money tree of the Champion's League for a sustained spell. They dip in and out, rather than being out for a number of seasons in a row. I'd like to see them take that hit while sides around them develop.

That club did manage to get relegated just 7 years after being champions n 1967 and 6 after becoming the first English team to win ole big ears. Unlikely with how different the Football landscape is now but their current form is of a team dropping down.
