Oh yes - and she would be rightly pleased to see him so happy. But the misery - or should I say - lack of joy - on her face has been clear to many in recent days.

Seems the Victor isn't the only "joyless prat" around

Here's the club behind the scenes video of his first day.. And he looks to be beaming - but the wife...she really doesn't and these cuts made the edit.. One can only assume what most shots were like.

Look I am more keen for Chiesa to do well than most. Went on the record in 2020 saying we should sign him as he had all the tools needed. He has since had injuries but is still top class. I am more than happy we signed him BUT a little worried about the dynamic with the wife. My wife is Italian - doesn't mean my fears are warranted but I know that look. Hopefully she is just doing that model thing of trying to look disinterested.

The sooner the footy returns the better. Hopefully it will put an end to Victor's psychobabble.

And looking at the vid above, huge smile from her on 2 minutes, 5 minutes 40 and again when she joins him after signing, that’s as far as I got.

Think you’re looking for something that isn’t there Steveo, while my home city isn’t Milan or Rome it’s certainly not exactly a backwater and a decent City to be in.

Also, there are plenty of mega rich footballers living quite happily in the North West mate, not everywhere outside London is full of country bumpkins living in hovels.

I'm a glass half empty kinda guy at times.... But I was told similar by a few posters in early 2023 when I felt Klopp's body language pointed to him walking early.

Obviously this is different, she isn't a player or a manager...

I saw that video of her yesterday and watched her at the game and I must admit to thinking that she might make things a little awkward for Federico - but hopefully you are right.

It's really not about being mega rich either - it's about lifestyle. La Dolce Vita.. I realise it doesn't sit well with people from the area but you don't get that anywhere in the North West of England. No matter how much money you have. You don't get it in London OR the surrounds either - far from it but there are other distractions as Rafa alluded. His comments about the airports imo a thinly veiled pointer to the fact that the wives want to get back to the sun and the lifestyle they got used to - the minute they can.

How many star Italian players have settled here in the UK - EVER? I am betting it's a relatively low number and those who did most likely in the south east probably Chelsea? Ravanelli was in and out at Boro like a blue arsed fly.

True mate but it’s only a few years out of your life while you fill your bank account with several million. Must be on Ł5m a year for his 4 year contract, Ł20m will help his Mrs to not miss the sunshine and Milan boutiques for a while. It’s not forever.

Totally get what you are saying & you are more than likely right.

Just hope we don't see this too often.

He is top quality. Nothing can take your mind off your job quite like a moody Italiana
