Getting a RB is easy. Getting one anywhere near as good creatively is another thing altogether.
Anybody who believes we won't miss him will be surprised I think. His stats are off the scale.
This is as big as losing Coutinho or Suarez. The latter obviously a much better player and more important at the time but the point is we are again losing one of our best players but this time it's for nothing.

Yes tees. It’s sad - and despite his defensive deficiencies we will absolutely miss his utter brilliance in delivery. There just isn’t anyone out there with that in their locker - hence he’s Real bound…a local lad too.
Gutting but something we have known for almost a year now.
But he has won the lot here, can’t begrudge him in truth.
Tbh I think he's making a mistake. Real have plenty of creativity but they won't tolerate bad defensive mistakes.
Yeah I dont begrudge him doing what he feels is right. I remember writing a good few months ago that the saddest thing will be if he does leave like this. I'm really gutted about it but I'm really fucking angry with the club most.
He's given us moments and has been part of teams we'll never forget, can't take that away from him or us but leaving this way tarnishes things a bit.
Like a lover you know you've lost and want the best for her/him but they're off for someone you don't like and know won't appreciate and love them as much as you did.
Could have been a club legend. Local lad, future captain. Instead, just another player who played for us. Thanks and goodbye
The Anfield plaque is there to remind our lads who they're playing for, and to remind the opposition who they're playing against
Hendo wasn't in the last year of his contract and wasn't as young. He was on a good one and the club decided to let him go. Obviously money plays a huge part but this a different situation I think.
I said yesterday that maybe there's method to the madness, a plan in place but even the most ardent supporters of FSG can't deny the contract debacle with Mo,Trent and VvD is an absolute baboons arse of a situation of their own making.
A “baboons arse of a” shill would try.
Personally I think VVD is worth keeping although he'll need to be replaced due to age eventually.
Salah, very much like Ronaldo at Real, could leave at 33 years of age whilst talked about as a balloon door winner and posting greats goals & assist stats. Real made the right call and brought in a big fee.
Trent, has gone backwards in recent years and nowhere near the standard for his wage demands.
The club has taken each of them, brought them to the highest level and they'll leave with many medals.
In trents case he'll leave LFC having 2 PL titles, 1 PL title, the 1st club world cup title, and a few of the Tinpot trophies. A club that made all his dreams come true. And he leaves for Madrid as LFC will not match his ambitions.
Given all the contract nonsense has kicked up again after a poor set of results, I'd actually be happy enough if we fucked off all 3.
Using disappointment of fans to leverage the club is embarrassing, especially given some of their own personal performances over these set of poor results.
