Yes.. He seems troubled.. disturbed even to be honest. Do I like the guy.. No.. Do I approve of his conduct ...no and he frankly has surely ruled himself out of officiating Premier league games now as they all can affect us.

BUT I do feel sorry for him. His world has caved in around him. He is a human being. I bet you anything you like he isn't close to the worst at the anti Liverpool sentiment out there officiating games... He was stupid - naive enough to get himself caught on video. I say the guy is desperate to be liked.

Pretty sad, but he isn't keeping wars alive and in play to facilitate a never ending money exchange for human life.

Yep. Apparently that original video is 4 years old. Have to wonder why it's being leaked now. There could well be a sinister element to all of this.

hes gotta pay for his white powder somehow. Any way I'd not be surprised there are refs that take money for spot fixing. so easy too do. Just because the main people say "our game is clean" doesn't mean it is. we've seen cheating in cricket and in snooker.. Mark king has just been banned for 5 years i believe then we had several Chinese players also banned.
theres so much money in football. even betting on a yellow or red would make someone a lot of money..

Thinking on theres even mild manipulation. not outright cheating. But a question of ethics when you send you're refs to the UAE the same country that owns Man-city. and they get paid 20 thousand a game.. when it comes to 50/50 calls. The refs will be inclined to show favouritism. its just human nature.

Listen when Coote chose to be a Premier League Ref he must have known that he was entering the Lions den, so he knew what he was signing up for, to argue anything other is just imho crazy.

As a Ref in the Premiership, which is the highest profile league in the world, and given what is at stake in every single game, it is a given that every decision made on the pitch is going to be questioned by every player, Manager, and analysed by every Fan, Pundit, Footballing Journalist and podcasts alike, tbh that just comes with the Job. As a Referee you just have to have the skin of a Rhino to deal with all this and not take it personally, if you simply cannot do that, you are in the wrong Job..

Emotions on the pitch will always run high when there is so much at stake and for sure players and Managers alike will say things in the heat of the moment that they will regret, that I think is totally understandable, have some players and Managers gone too far in the past...with simulation and their subsequent comments, yes for sure, have they regretted doing or saying what they said, yes I am sure they have… their behaviour has to be looked at thats for sure, but that is a separate issue..

All a Referee can do is continue to be professional, Referee the game in the moment and give what he sees to be the correct decision either on the pitch or in the VAR room and treat any critique as just noise and just learn to not take it personally.

However if Referees allow how a Player, Manager or Club have reacted to, or critiqued their decisions in the past, to affect them and as result create or form a negative opinion on a player, Manager or Club, then they have completely compromised and adversely affected their ability to judge and be thoroughly impartial…

If you then choose to compound the issue by choosing to not communicate with anybody who consistently questions your decisions, once again you are not doing your job properly and you are just adding further fuel to the fire…

The fact that Coote allowed someone to video his own personal views, when he hekd such clearly contentious views on a particular Manager and Club, once again brings into question his judgement, especially given he is still Refereeing in the Premiership.

Unfortunately, upon release of this video, every man and his dog is going to look back at every game he has been involved in with this particular manager and Club, and if it can be shown that you, as a Ref, have been repeatedly involved in what can easily be argued as very contentious decisions against the same Team and Manager in game after game, it just looks so bad and just brings into question not only his judgement but also his integrity…

The fact that even more examples of Coote’s very poor judgement have now come to light, white powder and betting scandals, it just adds further weight to the argument, that he is clearly ill suited to life as a Referee at any level and with regards sympathy, it has to be said he has brought it all on himself through his own stupidity, and as such only has himself to blame.

The PGMOL now has a difficult task on their hands, because all this Coote noise along with other anecdotal evidence from ex Premier League referees which has subsequently come to light, has now brought into question the calibre and integrity of every existing Premier League referee..

    What an absolute shit show…

He has to be permanently banned. Sad for him but even a hint of open bias and substance abuse/gambling means find a new career time. He is one of the more incompetent ones of the current shite pile so ciao David.

At this time the club should send video evidence of all the deliberate failures to apply the laws of the game that adversely affected us to FIFA & UEFA & ask a panel of refs view the footage & make a decision on whether or not to expel Coote Tierney Kavanagh & England from officiating & refer the matter to UKSFO as a matter of match fixing, which whatever their reasons, it pertinently has been
