Says who? It's just such a knee jerk reaction that you're having post match. Ffs, same with Kelleher as Grav, he has one not so steady performance and the end of the world is nigh! Our tenacity and ability to bounce back and get a draw in that game....very nearly a win is to be commended. We played poorly tonight at St James Park against their gobshite divers a gobshite ref and still walked away with a point.

Unless we are serious and reinforce this January - we will struggle to even be in a title race nevermind win one. Midfield looked tired tonight - it’s early December. Darwin is a so rough - Robbo miles off it - Konate missing which leaves an older Virgil more exposed.

    Slots work starts now
Spot on Steveo. Literally all the stars need to stay in line from now until end of the season. Injuries, lack of signings & corrupt officials are our biggest threat this season.

Absolutely this. You learn so much more about a team when things are going against them. The fight and determination shown tonight to get a result was fantastic. At 90+ minutes they were still trying to win the game.

When we wake up in the morning, we'll be 7 points clear at the top of the table. Hardly a cause for panic.

That's one way of framing it - though I just can't get my head around feeling quite that negative about it.

If the League starts now we have 24 matches to play and have a 7-point lead over Chelsea and Arsenal and a 9-point lead over Man City.

Those 3 sides would absolutely love to be in our shoes rather than theirs and let's not forget that they will be taking points off each other.

It's December - early December at that.

March is when it really gets intense, not now.

Sorry this is daft and clearly your anger is bang in the way of your thinking.

I have been saying that we needed reinforcements since this summer. So please stop with the knee jerk nonsense. We saw the squad fall short last term after a long spell coping with multiple injuries - more than 11 seniors - to a larger squad than we have today. It hasn’t been bolstered one jot. In fact we have lost a group and gained one Italian who has barely pulled on the shirt.

We are in a great position in both leagues in early December - so what … what has that got to do with us and needing reinforcements? why are the two inextricably linked in your mind?

    Think

Slot needs to sort our press & counter press out

We’ve been lucky so far, it’s been nowhere near except the City game & we’ve let far too many teams including some very poor teams have too much time on the ball, play out & transition too easy & counter on us

You DO NOT need as many fucking players looking to be in space or joining the attack as we do too often, too many times they make runs when they’re NEVER going to be involved or needed to be & then there’s no-one picking up when we lost it

You can pick up do they can’t play out easy AND be in a position to join the attack making a run off the player you were picking up at the right moment - We used to do that far better under Jurgen at that & when a player did that, another would move onto the player for transition

And change it up more ffs we have players that can do all sorts of things who are incredibly well practiced at them for years to enable him to be smarter & mix it up more instead of doing the same things over & over for halves the overpassing isn’t going it fir us at all first half

We can overpass, be direct using wide forwards, switch to 433 442, or too a full on top press & counter press

There are all sorts of things these players are brilliant at he can utilise far better tactically, we’re wasting half their abilities

As ever all the focus on the next game & getting the win

With this mindset how can you possibly enjoy football? We are top of the premier league and champions league, playing good football and that mindset/thought process just removes the joy from it.
There's not one team in Europe who would rather be in their position than ours.

Gravenberch looked well off it tonight. I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't well with flu or the like, by the way he played.
