We Have To Have The Conversation: Is Mo Salah the greatest PL player ever?

There's been some great names in the PL for over 3 decades now..... but, surely it's time for Mo to be mentioned as top PL dog now....
His stats and injury records are insane. He's an absolute beast mode machine and we love him... XxXX

Trent best passer/Crosser when he's on it....
VVD best CB in the world surely, or one of....

and FSG could let them all go for free....

but I agree has to be up there.

    Really feel like we're in a "
swansong" of a season, feels like it has to be the season this season we need to win it others won't be as bad next season and we could be without any of the above...... and this is the best it'll get for a while... enjoy it whilst it lasts lads.

"Best in the world right now. Even when he looks like he's not at his best, he finds ways to affect the game with scoring or creating. i think his passing ability is really underrated."

"Annoying his best season so far"

Salah is definitely right up there, but I would have Suarez ahead of him.

The way I see it, is if we'd have had prime Luis instead of Salah in the last 7/8 years I think we'd have achieved similar results.

If current Salah was playing in that 13/14 side, we'd have been nowhere near the title race.

Salah is phenomenon in a good team that creates a lot chances.

Suarez was on completely different planet to the rest of the 13/14 team.

And if we're looking at pure numbers then it's hard to look past Shearer. And he missed 2 seasons worth of football.

For pure skill and ability Suarez belongs in the top ten maybe even top 5 of all time. He was an integral part of the greatest team ever to play the game and had also achieved great things elsewhere.
Unfortunately his reputation leads to people being bitter and leaving him out.
That top ten list Sky had on was embarrassing. He was better than pretty much all of them.

Suarez is the best CF to have performed in the Pemier League. Unbelievable player, won't get a shout on career considerations in the PL, but the best CF in the league to date imo.

    Henry Suarez Salah
A decent shout as the PL's best front 3,

    if we're going 4231 I'd have Rooney 10 !

    ..........Suarez
    Henry Rooney Salah

Imagine (hope) that he stays with us for another two seasons, and keeps these numbers, or close to these numbers going.
He's definitely gonna be top PL dog...
    Here's hoping... YNWA

His percentages are going up with literally every game. We're privileged to witness this absolute phenomenon...

All about how you measure these things, which is what makes these discussions timeless to some degree.

Suarez for example was probably the most talented forward the League has seen in terms of just raw ability, but a huge percentage of the public would never vote for him because of what the relative lack of trophies.

Henry was considerably better than Cantona, but I can respect (even though I'd disagree) a Man United die-hard arguing Eric's case in terms of impact on the League as a character and being associated with the beginning of Man United becoming the force they did.

Some people will talk number of goals, others will talk goals per minute. Haaland I imagine is comfortably out in front in terms of goals per minute at the present moment, but I wouldn't have him in my top three or anything as I feel he doesn't do an awful lot when he isn't finishing, whereas someone like Suarez could beat 5 players then make an assist.

There are other criteria people will have of course.

It's between Henry and Salah at the moment you'd think.
