Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century
I can't find a non paywall link, but Man City have been found not guilty of breaching associated party rules and that these rules have been found to be invalid or possibly illegal.
The PL is fkd with a capital FKD.
Thats right, but what I was saying was, that if we celebrate another teams misfortune, we cannot criticise them if they go and do it to us…
No high horse here mate… but I do apologise if you think it was directed at you personally, that was certainly not my intention..
Seriously - if anyone believes that the British government, much less the Premier League - would dare to enact any form of meaningful punitive measure on the monarch and supreme leader on the US’s most vital strategic Gulf ally… Then they are in for a long wait.
This is before we talk about how deeply ingrained the gulf states petrodollars are in the infrastructure and political power dynamic on this small island
Just from a US perspective

Understanding Israel and the wider mid east is crucial to understand Us foreign policy. The gulf states - Saudi and UAE and Qatar will be granted the tony Blair treatment (untouchable) for as long as they play ball.
This has got nothing to do with the US. Reprentatives of the UK Government had talks with their UAE counterparts at their embassy, just as was similarly the case with the Saudi takeover of Newcastle. The UK Government (not the US) don't want to upset a major trading partner, namely when it comes to selling them arms.
The Premier League's rules governing sponsorship deals from the period between 2021 and 2024 are "void and unenforceable", a tribunal has ruled.
Last year, an independent arbitration panel found against aspects of the league's Associated Party Transaction regulations (APTs) after a lawsuit instigated by Manchester City.
The rules were formed by the Premier League to prevent clubs from profiting from commercial deals with companies linked to their owners that are deemed above "fair market value".
In November, the Premier League voted through amendments to the rules despite opposition from Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa, as well as City.
Friday's ruling is not in judgement of the November amendments which still stand but are the subject of a legal challenge.
This decision is a huge blow to the Premier League and effectively it means their APT rules up to November 2024 were unenforceable.
Any club who had a case heard under their rules is now in a position where they could launch a damages claim.
One source has suggested this could make the Premier League – and effectively therefore its clubs – liable for tens of millions of pounds.
This will also put a focus on chief executive Richard Masters, who confirmed the changes in November despite being cautioned against implementing them by City and Aston Villa amongst others.
Sorry but again you are wildly wrong and failing to see the underlying heart of the issue.
It has almost everything to do with the US - its foreign policy. The Dollar itself - the security of Israel / a state created by the British and which today is effectively running US foreign policy.
As mentioned this is before we even touch on the UK - a nation which also created these absolute ruler kingdoms in the oil rich gulf,,, but which today is totally in debt to for infrastructures payed for via Gulf petrodollars.
It’s a circular system.
if you can de couple these things - you are not human
- again I suggest people stop living on headlines and employ a degree of critical thinking
When you have finally worked this out - then you will understand HOW the premier league ended up with a majority of clubs part or totally in US hands.
The bogeymen clubs are there to take the spotlight. They serve a purpose. It’s a mutually beneficial situation. Do you believe Putin could own Newcastle? He is at least elected - has an huge mandate actually / and not an unelected head of state in a nation created by the British Empire. How about the leader of Iran..? Would the Premier League allow that? And who would stop them?
when you finally wake up - I hope it’s not too late
