After 22 games last year we led both Cituae & Arsenal by 5 points. Cituae had a game in hand on us.
Cituae won their game in hand so after 22 games we led them 2 points and Arsenal by 5 as I see it.

• After 22 games this year, we've a 9 point lead on both Arsenal & Forrest. Arsenal won their 23rd game & Forrest lost theirs. We play Bournemouth away in ours, and should be back on same games played soon in PL after a few cup games.
• We're doing better than ourselves last year. If we win our 23rd game this year, we'll be 5 points better off than after 23 games last year. We lost our 23rd game last year away at Arsenal 3-1.
• We're doing better against our title rivals also. +4 points better compared with Arsenal last year after 22 games each. Cituae were 2 points behind us last year after 22 games played each. This year they were 15 points off, and 12 off after their 23rd game. .
• We have conceded more this year, largely down to Konate being out and our keeper/s not bettering the XG like they did last year. In attack it's much of a muchness. Scored a few more from less shots. Less shots = Darwin![]()

Thats an interesting take on Diaz, in the Premier league his numbers are almost identical to Gakpo and combined their numbers are similar to Salah, given they alternate their position out on the left, thats not a bad return.
Have you taken into account the work ethic and goal threat of both Diaz and Gakpo because it is the combination of this that contributes to the actual number of goals we score as a team, without this off the ball industry and goal threat from the both of them, I dont think that Salah gets the numbers he gets…
Yes Diaz can be frustrating at times, but like yesterday so can Salah.. so none of our players are perfect and neither was Mane, although tbf Mane was better than most strikers in the World, but if you are comparing Diaz to Mane, thats a bit harsh because Mane had a certain Bobby Firmino to link up with…
Hey ho, we all see things differently I guess, I dont know about you, but I am loving being Top of the two biggest Leagues in Europe…
Diaz bang outta form - our next biggest threat after Salah tho - if we are accounting for Jota being almost always out that is.
Slot playing him through poor form because he recognises his importance. Needs to start scoring goals again BUT fairly sure he will.
Would also add in Diaz's defence... Not easy at all to switch from the left flank to play at the 9. Caught a few teams on the hop early doors, but.... has it confused & befuddled Luis' game a little?
Don't forget this wasn't that long ago.

His form has dipped a bit the last few weeks but before that he was outstanding. Absolutely no doubt how valuable he is and if he ends up leaving ( always constantly linked with a move away) he would be very difficult to replace.
Mane was an outstanding player.. I dunno many inside left players that have got that amount of goals from that position in the last 20 years of the PL. If you look as the league as a whole this season. Diaz and Gakpo have scored more than any other player from that position and thats all that counts.. Hopefully they will chip in with more goals as the season goes on..

Its good to see Trent settle down and perform much better in that last 2 games. He was excellent yesterday.. Hopefully he can keep that form to the end of the season,. what ever happens then it happens.
