    Liverpool team against Villa away

    _______________Alisson____________
    Bradley____Konate______Virgil____Robertson
    ____Gravenberch___Jones____Szoboszlai
    Salah____________Jota____________Gakpo

Id be loathed to play Macca and Jones in the same 11.. So gonna stick with Grav in the DM (not sure when he'll get a rest)

Hopefully Gakpo as shrugged off the knock he got against the bitters..

Swap Tsimikas for Robbo and I’m with you. Could even start Nunez down the left if Gakpo’s not available and Jota hasn’t had too much football either.

Virgil, Gravenberch and Salah are the three that play too many games because the club simply refuse to strengthen the squad in those areas.

Gakpo should be available Wednesday. It was just a knock as far as I know...

All 3 key spinal components top-middle-bottom and not anyone at all that could come in for any of them without us dropping a pair of bollocks..

Robbo hasn’t got a goal or assist to his name this season. It’s February. He has been epic for us - but his defending is miles off it so often too - I love Tsimikas but he is really a stand in.. How have we let this happen? Robbo has been totally run into the ground, Trent is already on the Iberian peninsula and none of Salah and Virgil have signed.

This is all going to play into the teams psyche as we approach the final furlong. Just as all the hype and media circus did last season with Jurgen’s premature and impending departure did.

You get the feeling someone is holding us back on purpose

The fact that there's no mention of any of those 3 players signing pre-contract agreements with other teams is quite telling, imho...
Especially for the two older players...

So announce it then. They are waiting to announce it at the last minute when the season ends so they can weasel out of spending what is needed on a squad this coming summer.

Who cares if it derails our season and we only finish second or third.. we have banked more money already than last years CL winners and we will go again in the - in all but name- new format European Super League... Kerching... Kerching and no great outlay.

New F$G CEO of football - Austen Powers...not LFC - but F$G's... sat there managing the bank balance..

    It's bullshit

This might be a stretch but what about starting with this:

    Allison
    Bradley Konate Virgil Tsimi
    Endo Jones
    Szobo
    Salah Nunez Gakpo

Then bring on the big guns from the bench early second half. Many players need a rest. Ideally it'd be great to give Salah a rest but can't see us doing anything without him.

Possibly but Endo in the middle..? Don't want to be chasing a game away at Villa Park - they have some serious attacking options and a shrewd Spanish MaNNa'HCHeRR... no..?

We've used too many seniors already so I get the point but we looked lost last 20 v Wolves at near full strength at home.

I could see this as the team. Grav looked wiped out in the 2nd half. His half jump turn before cunha scores is a sure sign of tiredness. So endo could be in there in his place.

Same with robbo, could see rotation. I'm no fan of tsimi but right now robbo is just as bad.

Diaz will be rested. He has played the last 3 and would have been rested against wolves, so I expect him to sit it out on the bench.

We're living on fumes right now. Gonna have to rest some. It's either that or go full-strength first half and try to get a few goals up and then make changes. But that could lead to a second half like yesterday.
