Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century
I could be wrong but I think most of the add-ons are appearance based rather than for performance. In which case the club probably has paid most or all of the £85 million
Can't remember exactly,Konate rings a bell.
We've said long enough that the opportunity is there now for a team to go all out, we are in a great spot in terms of striking the iron whilst it's hot. Four good additions, players who are an upgrade on what we have and we'd be set.
Wether they ( FSG) do or not is another matter.
I just remember postimg how we didn't do enough when we was on top
I really hope the owners aren't dumb just because we've won it this season rather easily, doesn't mean improvements aren't needed, next season will be completely different.
we either build on this, or get left behind..... again.
Apparently the premier league winners receive £175m so if my maths is right that plus the Caicedo money should mean Slot has a war chest of at least £50m plus sales.
We all have our own particular preferences in who we would like to see come in to strengthen our first 11 and which in turn will strengthen our squad, ie Robbo becomes our back up option rather than Tsimikas…
I believe this Summer is going to be a really interesting one in terms of revealing the player profile, in defence, midfield and up front that Edwards, Hughes, and Slot prefer and believe this squad actually needs going forward…
What monies are actually available for this Summers transfer window is another point of interest, however I am not overly concerned about how much we actually spend, in fact I would be absolutely delighted especially if we do manage to actually find the next Robbo, Salah, Wynaldum without actually spending big.
Far better that, than adopt the Ten Hag approach of gambling £600M on relatively unproven talent, because we have all seen how that can pan out…
However, saying that, rather than only adopting a Panning for Gold policy, if a proven talent or talents do become available this summer that seemingly perfectly fits our required player profile, ie Isak @ £ 150m etc, I believe given how well Slot has done this season, FSG really need to dig deep and deliver that player or players.
It’s pointless signing Salah and VVD on extended contracts, if we are not going to commit to further strengthening what this season has proven to be an already very good squad.
It's quite scary that we've paid £20m in agents fees over a 12 month period where we haven't signed many players.
