YNWA trent, thanks for memories and all the best.

you can say about his defending blabla but anyone that has a bad word to say about him is a clown.
100%. He leaves as the all time assist making defender in prem history. He's been an integral part of a spell we could have only fucking dreamed of having not long ago.
Disappointing we aren't getting a fee yes but he cost the club nothing in terms of a fee being paid.
    People move on.

That’s it… Trent a total one off - going forward - targeted relentlessly going the other way. Unique talent and most of us wish him well.

But none of that has any bearing on any disappointment we feel that the club gets nowt for his departure - for those with any ability to deploy critical thinking that is 😉

well no shit but that's the clubs fault too for not planning ahead and not thinking this could happen

God bless coutinho for signing 5 year contract and making money for vvd and allison for us

will we make the same mistake with Konate and then Diaz?? - RObertson will probably stay another year and go on a free also, not that we'd get that much for him but something is better than nothing.

We shouldn't let contracts run down, sell or extend..... not with a year or under left....

For a kick off - the owners are not "the club". But I suppose it could be put on the owners ... the blame could go that way - but nobody knows IF Trent would have ever signed any kind of deal..? A guess at best. He should have been tied down to a contract but for whatever reason he wasn't.

How about this: Trent just genuinely wants to go and try his luck in Spain at the home of what many consider to be the greatest football club in the world.

I think that is the most likely scenario based on the fact that the owners - and I would agree with them on this one - are not prepared to pay silly money for a player who while brilliant at some things - is so obviously a liability at others. He is far and away the best attacking FB we have seen in years yet even Engerland couldn't find a place for him. And that during their most successful prolonged spell since '66.

There is so much that can be discussed about Trent. But it's not worth entertaining with someone who wants to call people silly playground names because he cannot articulate a thought.

I know the owners are not the club, but i'm sure some other people are involved too in contracts- not just the owners...... ?? you get me or is that hard ?

    Clown

Seriously though, we should've never got into this situation in the first place- should have offered a extension before last year of contract, when real wasn't sniffing around, otherwise what happened, could happen. it's not like he's 30 and could've dropped off bigtime

England couldn't even find a place for palmer after having a incredible season, at least he got sub'd on eventually

Like boregate was going to play a attacking RB over walker

how about you have some respect and be thankful for everything he's done

if it wasn't for him we probably wouldn't have won the champions league for starters

One of the best attacking if not the best RB's in the world- stop being angry about him leaving like a baby, toys out of pram.. bless you

    Hahaa…Mr kneejerk…

Palmer’s been shocking for months till he faced us. His own fans have been questioning him since before Christmas. Been Invisible. I know you’re the expert be funny to see you pick a team. You’d change it every half.

Walker was never as dynamic as Trent - never blessed with that talent - certainly not going forward. But to be fair to Gareth - at International level you cannot afford someone so fallible at the back. Swings and roundabouts. You think Trent does better v anyone decent without a midfield covering for him and with Virgil/ Alisson both inside of and behind him?

I say a very good chance he gets found out. And Engerland’s are not Klopp’s all action mentality monster Liverpool. One mistake is usually curtains.

Let’s see how he fares at Real. That’s the best situation for him. Elements of the luxury player about him. Brilliance in abundance but lacks in other areas. Might get away with it in a side that’s usually miles ahead of their rivals.

    I hope he flourishes

On about the euros last year, not this season.. you know last time england played games that mattered- palmer was shocking last season for sure yep lolz. salahs been missing last few months, does that make him shit too well apart from last few games? Palmer went like 8 games without scoring? damn he's shit, how many did jota take again or diaz? our actual forwards?

I mean why would I be on about this season when we're on about southgate and team he played at the euros?

Also I wouldn't say 15 goals in 34 games this season and 9 assists is bad really.. does Szob have them stats as a attacking AMC? or well I thought he was meant to be. but i'm sure Elliot and Jones are better

Slight difference.. Szoboszlai is a league champion... Palmer is an excellent player.. I'd take him over Elliot and Jones. But we made him look better at the weekend ,because our midfield was wide open.
