I get people's differences of opinion on it. I think it's a bit harsh calling him a cunt. It's obviously been a calculated move to run his contract down do that's indefensible really but I'm not personally going to be down him after what's been some of the best if not the best years of my life watching Liverpool, He's been a key player regardless of peoples thoughts on his defending. He's nowhere near as bad gets made out at times imo.
We all hate Real ( or I guess a lot of us do) but it's only due to recent history with them beating us in two finals. Wether we like it or not it's probably always going to be the pinnacle destination for players.

Owen deservedly got that "cunt" moniker because he played for Utd, people were resentful when he left but let's be truthful he'd carried the team a few seasons and we looked to be going downhill a little after what was an excellent few years under GH.

He's always thought hes better than he was, Real would have won all that without him,he didn't play a major contribution same as Beckham. It's almost like he's not been with the club since he was 6 years old.....

people are being very bitter.. no better than the mancs, it's not like he's moving to chelsea or something, he's been everything LFC his whole life pretty much since he could remember anyway not really sure the age you start remembering stuff.... fair play to him.. fact he's going to real doesn't mean i'm going to forget he's spent most of his life with the club, & gave us some of the best memories and moments, neither should anyone else but that's just my opinion.

The fact that they have 3 more European Cups than we have made appearances in the European Cup Semi finals tells you that. He leaves a legend for the titles he's won at LFC. Said as much in my first post in this thread replying to Kev0's OP.

I said last summer that I'd sell him as it was apparent he was running down his contract to fuck off to Madrid.

He's used PR/misdirection to mask his intentions and thrown others under the bus in doing so.
