Guehi and Semenyo in January at least, are essential for a half decent second half to the season.

I love the OP ...can i also add it seems the effort needed to win this league with a small squad fucks you for the following season. We had to put players like hendo out to pasture.....A big squad hleps but eventually it catches up.......look at shitty!

This is the point I've been making for 5 years and more. BOOM and BUST. The previous Boom years meaning we bust after going for 100 points - this time it took 2 more than the season prior... And many STILL seem oblivious to part of why..

Shitty's problems however don't stem from a big squad - they had borderline 2 WC players for every position - THAT is how they dominated... THAT was facilitated by what has led to the 115 charges against them. The fact that it has been played out openly in the media is what is now affecting them - Players - Manager and fans alike.

What I meant here was....even with thir massive squad ...they won so many...pushed us close then had a massive season....and two seasons in a row they cant put it together......it's like running a horse into the ground...... they've spent money but their spine is done...as is ours

I got that BUT those 2 seasons in a row come off the back of 115 charges going public. I mean - what team could remain focussed in the wake of that..?

There is a cloud over the entire club.. only diff this season really is Haaland in a world cup year is banging them in. Doku showing his potential at times.. but they don;'t look a team

Weathering a storm usually involves putting in extra defences, not leaving the door open week in week out

There’s no energy or desire at the other end either - that’s 1 goal in 3 games….270 minutes of football while shipping 10… But that’s not where it ends… the midfield is utterly hapless, no supply and no cover…. . It’s the entire team - with the crowning achievement from the big imposter eyeing his move to Madrid. An imposter - so bad in recent weeks that Virgil himself has finally snapped. Now we are fodder for anyone.

The forward line have no cohesion. There is no movement, inter play, nothing. It's all gone.

Isak went on a run on the left with 3 or 4 players around him. No one tried to get over to help out. We look like a team of amateurs thrown together to play a game.

Its really tough watching. There is nothing there to get excited about.
