I'm more worried about the club's future after hole Slot has dug for us.

I'm not, not in the mid-long term.

Short-term maybe, if we fail to get Champion's League footie. The side has issues - a number of them - but there's quality here - we just need more of it. With a couple of the right additions (likely a managerial change too...) things can lift quickly and the club is in a very healthy position with revenue etc.

Our attack for example is not Boring, Lambert and Balotelli.

We'll get back to a good place again, just need to make suitable changes.

Slot may need a win, but that shouldn't decide his tenure. He has talented players, but can't use them.
How can you take a team from the grittiest, most passionate and hard working side in the league to the team that gives up running after 70 minutes week after week after week.
Regardless of whether we win, he cannot be here next season. No CL will mean no investment and no incentives for new players. We'll be where Utd have been for the last ten years.
    Fucking depressing.l

Can’t see a win against Gala but I feel 4th is still on and that might just save Slot for one more season.

Galatasaray have lost 11 out of 13 away CL games over the last 10 years. They are strong at home with their vociferous crowd - away they are dog shite… They will have no fans. We have to win

Spurs have been dog shite all season and we’re far better than us today.

But yes, we HAVE to win.

Nothing should save Slot from losing his job.

Thing is, we could absolutely finish 5th - do they sack him then or do they say "myriad of factors, we'll back you for another window and assess in January 2027" - irrespective of what us fans might see or want, they may feel differently and that may be based on what the data analytics crowd see - underlying trends and such.

We have an underperforming Salah on the right with a back-up that clearly isn't trusted - how much will improving that help?

Will Jacquet provide a big lift?

Will Isak be fit for more of next season and find form?

Will we sell someone in midfield (Mac Allister?) and go for a player with more height, strength and pace?

    Will a defensive mid happen?

Anywho - I don't see us having a prolonged collapse comparable to the Mancs, personally. I foresee a wobbly spell, perhaps a managerial change, continued work on the squad and us remaining Champion's League regulars.

One thing we all know is that the current squad and Slot combo cannot persist - either change the manager, finish the rebuild, or both. But there is enough here that we shouldn't have to endure a 5-10 year malaise.

Yep, this is true. We have shown this season that no matter how much is in our favour to win, we can still mess it up.

Watch them score from a long ball over the top. We dont seem to able to handle any long ball down on top of us as today showed. Long balls, throw ins, crosses. Anything in the air and we are clueless.

That he’s still in the job beggars belief a 433 or 4231 manager that plays a proper pressing and counter pressing game and uses these players as Jurgen did would have us maybe even in the race had Slot gone end of October when he needed to
