Saturday was our 5th defeat of the season by 3 goals or more.
Please don’t tell me the manager is anywhere near competent enough.

I can’t take anyone seriously who still says the manager “deserves “ longer to turn it around.
There is absolutely zero evidence of any sort of top level coaching going on at Liverpool never mind the motivational side.
And I can no longer listen to Slot’s embarrassing inane ramblings in press conferences

Stevie was never the brightest and he is singing the company line. It’s as expected but he gives the game away while attempting to stay on track.
His commentary about the back end of last season and the erosion of Klopp’s ‘mentality monsters’ - condemns any feint attempts he makes to stick with the - Slot deserves more time - narrative Frankly anyone spinning that BS is shilling. But as usual - the truth can be seen through the PR.
Stevie is a potential Liverpool manager - he is associated with the club. Just as you wouldn’t get close to the truth on a behind the scenes expose - on camera from King Kenny - Stevie will know he must stay on track.
This is why genuine and - die hard - fan generated content like YNWAREDS2025 is where it’s at. Experienced fan saying it how it is
Yep.
What worries me the most are the reports that FSG want to give him next season to try and put things right. Pearce has reported this today, saying CL qualification is the target and the FA cup exit hasn't impacted any decisions.
Like you say above regarding all the downtrending metrics, what exactly is there to suggest this guy is going to turn this around?
There's isn't one single piece of evidence, there's more evidence than enough to suggest he'll tank us even further.
Deffo needs to go. Also Hughes and Edwards.
Failed to recruit a replacement CB - there seems to have been plenty of opportunity to pick up Guehi.
Diaz should have stayed - look at his performances in the Bundesliga.
As has already been said on here, our conditioning is piss poor. Almost every team we play has been out-running us.
There's no fight in the squad. No belief.
All three failed in their roles individually and collectively last summer and since then have seemed absolutely oblivious as to their shortcomings
Speculating aplenty on my part here, but I wonder if we might have a verbal agreement in place with Alonso for starting next season, but he has a personal incentive not to be taking on a job before a season is finished.
Whether that's not wanting to join a dressing room in a low spot (Real Madrid wouldn't have been happy campers when they botched the club World Cup for example) or maybe some financial-related contract thing, where he (more speculation) gets less severance pay if he were to join a club before next season due to some stipulation or other.
It'll all come out in the wash soon enough you'd think, whatever happens.
I can understand people at Boardroom level thinking it's been a fairly exceptional season for a Manager to succeed (the impact of the Jota loss is very hard to quantify) but you'd still have to see signs of shoots of recovery within the side and we have been ranging between distinctly average and shockingly poor for about 13 months now with no immediate sign of turning that around.
Mentioned in another thread but the continued rise of Cesc Fabregas and what is Como side are managing to achieve is really, really impressive.
Definitely has something about him. We could end up seeing Como in the Champion's League at this rate, which would be absolutely wild.
His sides are also known to be a decent watch.
I would not be surprised to see him given a chance at Chelsea or Barcelona in the coming years - indeed maybe Arsenal if Arteta decides to job-hop at some point.
I wouldn't have him as my no. 1 candidate for the Liverpool job or anything, but we should probably be "taking a look" at the very least for the future.
