    Dalglish & Keegan’s Biggest Battle

Sad news as both are fighting cancer with Keegan’s being stage four.

Such sad news, if you have a God, pray for them both.

Former Liverpool player and manager Sir Kenny Dalglish has confirmed he is undergoing treatment for cancer

Dalglish, who has been both a player and twice manager of the Reds, shared the news on social media on Tuesday morning having earlier prompted speculation over his health.
“As my inadvertent social media post has indicated, I am currently undergoing treatment for cancer,” said the 75-year-old. “Unlike my mobile phone use, the treatment is going well.

“Ideally, this would have remained private because that’s the way it should be, but my useless technology skills have forced my hand.
“Obviously I did not mean to make this matter public so I would appreciate it if the privacy of my family and myself are respected.

“As ever, thank you to the wonderful medical staff who have shown incredible care and discretion, not just for me but for many, many others. They are a credit to themselves.”
A Liverpool club statement said: "The support, best wishes and love of everyone at Liverpool FC are, and will be, with Sir Kenny and his family. The club would also like to underscore his request for privacy moving forward."

The news comes just a day after Kevin Keegan, the man who Dalglish was bought to replace in the Liverpool team in 1977, revealed he has been diagnosed with stage four cancer.

Sad news..They're both 75 these days, sadly as we get older there's more chance of this horrible thing happening....I'm old enough to remember the back end of '75/76 and then '76/77 when Keegan was the man and then the transition into Kenny's years at Liverpool...Fantastic years to be a fan....Legends both...Fingers crossed for them....

My dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate cancer that metastasized to his lower back and pelvis 5 years ago and he's still going 'strong'. He appears to be one of the small percentage that gets past the 5 years survival rate. The doc has told him on multiple occassions that it will likely be something else other than the cancer will get him in the end.

There's a line of dialogue from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (terrible film though) that has always stuck with me -

"We seem to have reached the age where life stops giving us things and starts taking them away."
