Legend
I don't come out to play very often, but Ray's passing needs a mention. I became a fan when Tommy Lawrence was in goal, but didn't really see him play in the flesh that often; Clemmo came into the side and was the keystone of the solid defensive base upon which Shankly and then Paisley built the first great Liverpool teams. There have been other good to great keepers, but none better. Alisson is on his way to being up there - just needs to sustain his level for another 250-300 odd games, and go 6 seasons without missing a match!
Absolutely Harry.
You just have to read the amount of heartfelt tributes to see what a great man and professional he was.
He was such a soflty spoken chap. Great keeper and obviously a really good guy.
Something, Something, Something, Dark Side
RIP Ray
A fair bit older than myself, what a sporting life to have lived.
A career steeped in success and adventure, if his personal life was half as good, what a great life to have lived.
He should have got a lot more England caps, as he was much better than Shilton. Ridiculous decision to alternate between the two of them. Legend of the club and his sport R I P.
If you're not sure what to do with the ball, just put it in the net, and we'll talk about the other options later... Bob Paisley.
