Tricky one that.
Maybe Klopp is "saving" him for when Europe kicks in and thus the rotation issue becomes even larger.
Which, on paper, makes sense. However, the likes of Ox/Matip/Shaqiri/Keita are so injury-prone you can easily see them getting injured in training - so might just be best playing them when they are available, getting what you can from them and accepting the injury when it comes.
Yes it's why W.Brom, Newcastle, Man Utd, Burnley all look so organised. We stop, turn and pass it's repetition gain and again. It's gives opponents a chance to regroup and with no fans it's so much easier to do that.
Klopps heat metal football is about the Redwall, noise, drama and crowds. I'd rather we sit back and counter attack, which is what he did when he first came, because at least we don't conceded and have a defensive foundation to get into some sort of run.
Getting beat by Utd is bad enough but to do it in our worst run of form for years, it really hurts.
Look, our full-backs, who are deployed primarily to assist in attack, didn't get assists today.
Firmino did. Twice.
Is he in his best vein of form? No. But two assists is a huge improvement than what we have seen in recent weeks and he showed glimmers of what he is about.
I'll take that. You don't have to.
if this lot are champions elect then we have nothing to fear. it’s just unfortunate, they are confident atm and we have garbage like phillips and rhys williams as cover.
we are making our way back, slowly. we opened them up at their place at will at times with a makeshift team.
our march has begun. roll on thursday.
