    Tricky one that.

Maybe Klopp is "saving" him for when Europe kicks in and thus the rotation issue becomes even larger.

Which, on paper, makes sense. However, the likes of Ox/Matip/Shaqiri/Keita are so injury-prone you can easily see them getting injured in training - so might just be best playing them when they are available, getting what you can from them and accepting the injury when it comes.

He can’t see it. I think he is on the wind up TBH - look at his comments on Jota...

Just take what he says and laugh. Best way

Cant see us getting a result against Spurs.
Matip not playing today has cost us, he is costing is overall by literally barely being available. What is the point in having him.
What's costing us is not having another senior cb on the books. We got fucked with the injuries to vvd and gomez. But we should have a 4th choice senior cb in the squad.
Everyone knew matip would get injured. He has shown that the last few years

Yes it's why W.Brom, Newcastle, Man Utd, Burnley all look so organised. We stop, turn and pass it's repetition gain and again. It's gives opponents a chance to regroup and with no fans it's so much easier to do that.

Klopps heat metal football is about the Redwall, noise, drama and crowds. I'd rather we sit back and counter attack, which is what he did when he first came, because at least we don't conceded and have a defensive foundation to get into some sort of run.

Getting beat by Utd is bad enough but to do it in our worst run of form for years, it really hurts.

But the longer we go without a win the pressure will build.
My sentiments. Boys looked sharper and looked to take risk with first time passes or taking z touch less etc. That is what has been lacking. After we went 32 down the slowness returned but overall it was okay. We need to win on Thursday imo

I do fancy us to beat em if we have Matip/Fabinho that is good enough.

They will play an open game too they dont do bis parking.

It might be high scoring but I back us we will regain form we arent Sheff Utd !

Look, our full-backs, who are deployed primarily to assist in attack, didn't get assists today.

    Firmino did. Twice.

Is he in his best vein of form? No. But two assists is a huge improvement than what we have seen in recent weeks and he showed glimmers of what he is about.

I'll take that. You don't have to.

if this lot are champions elect then we have nothing to fear. it’s just unfortunate, they are confident atm and we have garbage like phillips and rhys williams as cover.

we are making our way back, slowly. we opened them up at their place at will at times with a makeshift team.

our march has begun. roll on thursday.

That's exactly the point I'm making. We should not be in a position where we need him to play and right now we do.
