Haaland is and always has been the man for the number 9 shirt if I could choose one player it would be him.
He is likely to have LOADS of teams after him him and he might not want to leave Dortmund yet.
Andre Silva is another who is doing well for Frankfurt other names Edouard at Celtic and Toney at Brentford might be worth a look too.
Mbappe is just silly talk he either goes Madrid or possibly Juve to replace Ronaldo in 2022.
I’ve only seen the odd game at Peterborough and Brentford he is quick and has good movement.
He has gone up a league and you could argue he is the best by some distance in the championship as his stats are incredible
He is a good age too at 24-25 although someone like Southampton or West Ham might be his most likely club unless of course Brentford get promoted.
People really should stop discussing the likes of Mbappe and Haaland in our transfer threads. 'We' aren't going to be signing that type of player or spending that kind of money. The only 'famous' Norwegian footballer we might be signing whose middle name is Inge is either former Red Mr Stig Inge Bjornebye, or one of his kids, and even then our budget might not stretch that far.
Not sure he can sort out either issue tbh.
3rd party ownership takes the power out of the player and selling clubs hand. Places it with the 3rd party owners, where Mino could be a stakeholder too.
Mino Raiola hardly has a reputation for being a reasonable negotiator.
With Mbappe it's a money issue and a landing him issue. Makes more sense to me.
Paying big for a commercial cash cow has a return outside of the football pitch.
The mad thing about Mbappe, for whoever buys him, is that he could potentially be bought for £173m or whatever the rumoured figure is, give a team 5 years of stellar attacking contribution, then still have huge sell-on value at age 27 or so to offset some of the outlay.
I certainly don't see us being in for him, but for whoever buys him in the top Leagues, he (injury-permitting) as near as guarantees Top Four as you can get no matter the League it's in, with a big increase in chances of deep Champion's League progression/challenges at Titles as well.
Then for the sides who are already Elite-tier he makes them stronger to a degree that is hard to quantify. A side like Bayern Munich or (heaven forbid) Man City getting him would make them absolute Monsters.
