    Indeed.

Some moments go on to not have quite the impact they should (the 4-3 at Dortmund deserved a Europa League win, which we didn't quite manage) whereas others are part of something monumental (4-0 against Barcelona) and although finishing Top Four wouldn't compare, it would change the narrative of the season should we manage to do it.

Whether it's a transfer we otherwise wouldn't have acquired or a deep run in 21/22 in Europe that keeps us "up there" amongst Europe's elite sides, Alisson's goal could - COULD - have repercussions in our favour.

Let's beat Burnley and go into the Palace game with a chance.

Also if we do manage to do it - it could have a bit of a positive effect on our confidence and mentality that's clearly been affected thus season. Especially after the new year with that terrible run of games and home defeats.

Remember he left Germany for England under the shadow of a global pandemic. No socialising - very tough way to integrate into a new club. He then gets fit and comes into a Liverpool side which has 2 midfielders at CB and a front 3 that couldn’t score in a brothel.
If only Minamino was given such consideration too

I think our lads remain incredibly confident in their abilities, if you look at what sides we were absolutely slated for dropping points to did against some of the other top sides this season, those sides being at full strength at that, I think many of the results were blown out of all proportion given the issues we had.

We have struggled to break down park the bus sides and sides very organised and disciplined defensively looking to counter for 4 seasons, WITH all our best players fit and available.

Even in last season, had we not had that 15 game run with Hendo at No6 in which our press and counter press was near perfection in which we were absolutely incredible at barely giving teams a single chance and pinning them in, and never letting them have any respite, constantly winning the ball back quickly and recycling it from set pieces and starting a new point of attack, we would absolutely have dropped points or had a slip up earlier than we did

Why did carra have to make a dig at firmino after allison scoring that?

Literally no need for it "Liverpool don't need a CF anymore" shut the fuck up and enjoy the goal.

It's different saying shit on here, to T.V how do you think that makes firmino feel? does it make him play any better? does it fuck.

Esp after Firmino scored the brace against Utd. Carra knows all about that, except he did it at the wrong end

This has been a bad season. I struggle to understand the negative cloud surrounding everything to do with the squad.

Injuries have destroyed our momentum and confidence. Mane having a bad season hasn't helped. The shots to goals ratio is concerning, as much as that stat can be misleading - it's something we need to do better at. Even when we were playing well, we did miss chances.

I genuinely believe that had our defence not been ripped apart due to injuries we would have won this league. City didn't really feel any pressure due to having no real competition this year.

It would be incredible if we did scrape 4th to be honest. Makes you wonder how bad the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Everton really are.

Exactly, Ok i've given firmino enough stick on here, but i'd like to think a ex-professional player, who loves the club and played here his whole career... and now a voice of SKY.. i'd like think he wouldn't make digs at our players, it was quite obvious, instead of enjoying the moment, why do you even have to comment that? it's pathetic. makes him look like a twat.

He played with much worse players than firmino, and he wasn't world class himself imo

His heads got too big with sky I think

Thought he'd be better than that, obviously not my respect for him keeps going down sadly, at least gerrard's bossing it, what's carra doing? being a shithouse for Sky, but gerrard was truly great, carra not so much.

It's not a popular opinion but I always felt that Carra was vastly over-rated (by our fans). He was a solid defender and gave it 100%. His Istanbul performance (after the 1st half) summed him up.

Got a huge pass for being a local lad. Cart horse I used to call him - got slammed by so many Scouse mates - but never wavered..

A great club servant in his time , loved his passion and willing to do everything for the cause but the truth is he was low on quality.

What annoys me about Carragher is when he joined Sky he clearly knows his stuff and he was pretty good to be fair as was Neville.

Over the last 18-24 months they have just gone into teenage "bantz" mode and its terrible to listen to especially when you have Tyler joining in.

He has a job where you can be crap and still not get fired its probably why he is sucking off Sky to keep his role.

He played over 700 games for us but he comes over as if he is a lifelong United fan !!

Ive not liked him for a while to be honest but two weeks ago he called it a peaceful protest all this after seeing flares through at pundits, police officer being attacked and he himself being called a "scouse c**t" he is a joke.

The good thing about yesterday was watching Fat Sam crying that made it for me.
