Surely it's all about winning trophies at that level. Money shouldn't be a concern, they are all millionaires.
Some say similar about billionaire owners.
Come on Edwards, what the fuck is the slacker playing at, Jurgen said he wanted players in early for a full pre-season with all our other lads, the international transfer window is now open, I expected at least 2 deals completed today
It's alleged we have a budget of 50m plus any money generated from players sales, that better be 50m on top fo the Konate deal

Think we will want to see some sales first so we aren't bloated.
Here are most of our "back-up" players to our first XI - one or two will debate who "should" be on the list as it will have inferences as to how our starting XI is, but such edits are easily made. Also the likes of Milner can play multiple positions - so have popped him in one rather than in all those he can play. There will be other bits where people say "ah but X is really back-up to Y" but still -
- Kelleher, Karius, Grabara
- Milner, N.Williams
- Matip, Phillips, Van den Berg
- Konate, Davies, R. Williams
- Tsimikas
- Keita, Grujic
- Oxlade-Chamberlain
- Jones, Woodburn
- Shaqiri, Wilson, Ojo
- Origi, Awoniyi
- Jota, Minamino
That's 24 names. That is before we think of our first XI (others may pick a different combo, which is fine) of -
- Alisson
- Trent
- Gomez
- Van Dijk
- Robertson
- Fabinho
- Thiago
- Henderson
- Mane
- Salah
- Firmino
With the above in mind I do suspect it will be sales first, purchases later. No point buying an attacker before moving on at least one of Origi and Shaqiri for example, or a midfielder without moving on one, if not more, of Grujic or Keita or Ox.
We have time - and it may take time to attract buyers for the likes of Origi. But fingers crossed.
Gravenberch in the senior Dutch squad and scored, he's the player I'd most like us to sign to replace Gini, but the buggers adamant he's staying at Ajax for another season and next summer every bastard will probably be after him and he'll be going for stupid money
