Some say £22-25m but it was probably £17m up front like you say plus add ons.

They will triple their money when they sell him which I guess will be in 2023.

Doesnt look like any signings before the closing of the window.. Its ok the players sold make up for the wages of the players we have tied down to longer contracts. and its ok again if Salah doesnt sign an extended contract. we can sell him in the summer to make extra dough for the next signing.. a 16 year old from Swaziland.

All in jest mate. At least we have a manager who actually coaches players and improves them. Also the young kids at least see a path into our first team with Jurgen. I wonder how the young lad Greenwood feels at Utd tonight ?
This is just it, isn't it? Greenwood now will get less match time as an "obstacle" has been introduced, whereas we might (for example's sake, we need to see more team selections to know) give a youngster a chance over an existing player with a view to the future - in our case I can foresee Elliott potentially getting more appearances than Ox as we'll want to work towards moving (one of) Ox or Keita on to increase the quota of players that tend to be available more often than not.

Even ignoring Ox, Man United would have Elliott on their books but go and buy Shaqiri, thus reducing Harvey's game time, rather than the other way around. Shirt sales/commercial stuff aside, if Ronaldo doesn't help them win the League or Champion's League of 21/22 or 22/23 they'll have hampered ones coming through for their next cycle for no reason at all. Finishing 2nd-4th and Champion's League quarter-finals is not what you buy Ronaldo for. Whereas with ourselves and the likes of Jones, Trent or Elliott (18-22) range there is still time for further improvement during what could be long careers here.

Hahahaha that’s it, it’s finally gone, all common sense in football has finally left the building ….

“Paris St-Germain will try to sign Everton's Brazil forward Richarlison, 24, if they agree a deal to sell French World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe, 22, to Real Madrid. (Sky Sports)

Everton are demanding £85m for former Watford player Richarlison. (Star)”

They often talk about the football bubble "popping" and a move like that would certainly be one where academics might look back at the madness of this window and say "it happened there" - that's a mad one!

PSG "raised the bar" when they bought Neymar. Transfer fees have gone through the roof following that one.
That was followed by Coutinho iirc.
    Madness.
Players wages have gone through the roof thanks to TV and the oil clubs.
It's got to the point where I don't think we can be shocked any more than we have already been.

Our wage bill was supposedly bigger than Chelsea’s and Utd’s, surely that’s no longer the case
