Well, Robbo's nowhere near the form of someone who should be starting.
Certainly not ahead of Kostas on current form.
Hendo's still carrying rust from the Euros and I'd have a very hard think before starting him ahead of other midfielders.
Fabby was a yellow card (and possible red) just waiting to happen.
Trent's delivery was off to Bermuda today, on vacation.
Ironically, the defense was mostly solid today - other than a couple of shaky moments form Matip and Robbo's moment losing Havertz from the goal.
I think Virgil and Matip had their biggest threat Lukaku well contained for most of the match even when we both had eleven men on the field, and Allison was fairly solid presence on the goal line. No goalie could have saved that goal.
Up front we still have issues.
Mane's gone back to last season's ponderous falling over everywhere form.
Mo's delivery was actually quite good with crosses and passes but he showed nowhere near the hunger to score that we usually get from him.
I'm wondering whether the better bet would have been to start Jota and then bring in Bobby later on.
The only bright spot in the game for me was young Harvey, as per usual.
Which speaks volumes that when Klopp was bringing in Thiago, he took out Hendo instead of what many would have imagined would be the obvious choice in Harvey.
Still finding his sea legs, but I love the young lad's composure, confidence and decision-making on the ball.
He actually had the best delivery of anyone in the game other than Mo, and I feel he should have been taking the corners that Trent and Robbo were wasting.
The goals will come eventually.
'I got told there's an English phrase, 'You don't win trophies with kids'. I didn't know that' ... - Jurgen Klopp
Stone-Cold Savage!
How do you know he will warm the bench he is bound to get a game at some point.
I never said we were better but Gini decided to go thats his choice we are going to give youth players a chance get used to it.
Chelsea benefitted for that free hit season by James/Mount playing that has saved them well over £100m.
Being honest I expect City to win it with Chelsea second I mean both are backed by countries we cant/wont spend like them
Just a reminder that this Chelsea defence conceded TWO goals total in their games through the last-16, quarters, semis and final in the Champion's League last season.
They're not mugs. We should have been better, unquestionably, but it's not easy to break them down - and they'd have been in an even higher "defence mode" today being down to 10 men.
We do need to improve on breaking down stubborn defences. We should have managed 2-1 out of that. But they're a top side.
We are really spoilt by 2018-2020 seasons. People expect the team now to win all the time and all the games in a season.
We came out of a potential game that has massive psychological impact if we lost and we didnt. Yes Chelsea are celebrating but once the dust has settled 2 heavyweights drew and did their title chsllenges no harm.
Well yeah that's being realistic tbh, we'd have a chance but big improvements needed in the midfield that's the reality of it, been like that for a bit now, sadly thiago I don't think is the answer, I really hope he comes on and improves like Havertz did.
Eitherway my issue is with the owners, I'm shocked by the lack of ambition, it was quite clear last season we could do with a change or 2, even with the injury's we had.

I mentioned somewhere else this is still the same Lukaku. Big and scarry but still a poor "foot" baller
