First and foremost I hope Naby is ok, I hope and suspect it was just a whack on an already very sore shin and nothing serious
We'd have absolutely breezed that game had Naby not been forced off injured, ultimately, we've dropped points in that game because we let Gini go and didn't replace him, and because we've spent far too much time and effort working on almost all our attacks coming down our right side and completely neglected to get our once more potent left side, prior to last season's enforced changes at least functioning again
Potter's a very good manager, has numerous tactical plans, uses the width and players on both sides of the pitch, which is something Jurgen simply hasn't done or addressed since last season's enforced changes. Not sure if Jurgen was out thought and out done tactically or it's simply a case of knowing what he wants the players to do, but neither Oxlade of Jones are good enough and have the tactical and mental discipline to carry out the instructions he needs them too
Hendo MOTM for me, got his goal and he had a very good game playing in midfield on his own against 5 players for most of it after Naby went off
Jones absolutely not a starter, if he had to pick a favourite song from the 80's it would without doubt be 'Safety dance' Oxlade tried very hard, got a brilliant assist and probably would have been absolutely fine if we'd had a Gini at LCM working with Hendo
On the evidence of today it looks like Morton's going to have to 'get a body' through playing first team games, as press wise, reading of the game, positioning and distribution, he's better than both Jones and Oxlade
As ever, all the focus on the next game, administering a deep penetrating with long hard strokes bumming, getting the win and another absolutely vital 3 points to secure our qualification for the Champions League last 16
