Correct any doubt about him should have stopped last 10 games last season when he went back into midfield.

He is a monster of a player wins lots of headers too and can pass abit !!

He is a NAILED ON starter if fit.

About time too, he's been here three season's, long overdue starting to make contributions that are meaningful, the overall press and counter press is still absolutely shite, it was absolutely abysmal today.

Fair play to our coaching staff, they have very obviously done a fair bit of work with him these last few weeks, although he does bottle it and not get tight but not too tight to players he should which constantly lets the press down, he is checking himself and at least not getting ahead of them or charging into situations leaving a gaping hole in our centre, it makes our games much easier to watch, it does carry the risk of letting every opponent having too much meaningful possession, making the need for tackles or interceptions that wouldn't be necessary if the press and counter press was adequate

I think Mane might well be going in the summer, both Jota and Diaz have put far better performances in at LWFD than him recently, actually playing the position he used to play the way he used to play it, Robbo was back to having no-one to link with again today, maybe it isn't Jurgen, maybe Mane's decided he's going to play more centrally, it looks like that from Jota and Diaz having played LFWD as Mane used to
You say Bobby played, but he didn’t really. You said Thiago wasn’t quality when he replaced Henderson, but he actually was and we gained some control. You have constant digs at Fabinho, but in actual fact, he has been our best, most consistent, goal scoring midfielder.

I know your ego is hurting seeing your favourite players struggles and the ones you hate on making you eat some humble pie.

Let’s not forget that Salah and Mane have come back from a gruelling AFCOn and are allowed a to be a bit rusty. All slating others but you’re insistent on protecting your faves.

Henderson and Firmino are not fit to start. I’m not discrediting what they have achieved for us, so don’t go on that rant either, it’s time to bed in the new u and coming lads that will make our future. The ones I mentioned in this paragraph are sadly not it anymore

It was a good 'performance' considering the weather and the opposition. It was a battle and we kept our heads. We're not going to blow teams away every week so it's important to grind out these results when we can.

The low point has to be Bobby. Unfortunately I think his time has come. He's never been prolific but he's not doing the other stuff either now.

"Cold, wet Tuesday night at Stoke" - business ultimately done today, albeit a Sunday afternoon against Burnley.

Everything into appropriate recuperation for the Inter match. We are capable of winning a difficult game at the San Siro and it would give us a bit of breathing room mentally if we didn't need a comeback win in the reverse tie at Anfield.

Go out there and handle business.

Yep - a draw would be fine - but let’s go for the win

Not for those who saw the football. But a great result…yes.

Probably should have been behind at HT.. We gave Burnley way to many opportunities. Klopp was going totally bonkers at times.
difficult conditions but basically dominant. No issues with attitude or energy levels. onwards

You're absolutely right. It's a shame, part of our history and success but it happens to them all.

Dominant after Thiago came on maybe. Certainly lost plenty of what little is left of my finger nails.

To be fair Burnley played some decent stuff.

But a great win in the end
