We wasted last year not getting the midfield sorted, then brought in Artúr as a panic signing. So far going into this season we are worse off in midfield and defence is also worse off.
Yes indeed, totally mental whats going on at our club. its like we are pigeons in the town centre pecking up little bits of bread here and there.. while Arsenal and Chelsea drive past in their Limousines. splashing the cash.. We we LIVERPOOL..

Don't get me wrong FSG have done some good things for this club. But its been evident for years they want others to make THEM rich.. They reply on the likes of Jurgen to take the club to the top. It was the same with trying to increase the ticket prices trying to furlough the staff and also the debacle of the planned European league.
Its all about increasing the revenue without putting their hands in their own pockets. But they will take billions when they sell. which they will eventually when a decent offer comes in
To me they were looking for investors who were willing to lose money on transfers if things didnt go right. no one is that silly to fall for that. so again they have tightened the budget strings.
Theres no excuse not to give Klopp every penny he needs to make our squad the strongest possible.

Sorry im waffling today. But we start the season a week on Sunday and we left with NO DM.. and one more short in midfield.
we basically have Macca and Thiago.. To me Jones is more of inside left of midfield.
Szoboszlai is a number 10. I know we have Bajčetić but its a bit much to ask him to play 40% of the fixtures this season.
we are really short in numbers. its soooo evident

The Copa Libertadores bit is the most significant in the Andre transfer delay, we are waiting to see if they will let him go now or January. I doubt we’ll buy him now if it’s the latter.

Gazeta say Andre 'welcomes a transfer to the Premier League', while Liverpool are 'closer to a happy ending' then any of Andre's other suitors (previously reported as Sporting CP and Fulham).
However, they reiterate the club's reluctance to do business while the Brazilian season is ongoing.
ESPN have suggested that Fluminense could be open to a summer sale, if they fail to qualify for the last eight of the Copa Libertadores. The Rio club play Argentinos Juniors at home in the round of 16 second leg on 8 August, having drawn the home fixture 1-1.
Another factor in Liverpool's favour is the involvement of Jorge Mendes. UOL claim that Liverpool 'can count on the help' of the super-agent in their pursuit of Andre.

Rumours: Liverpool are looking at Leicester City’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall over a possible move as an alternative to Lavia.

We moved on from the rejected Ł84m bid for Bellingham and got Mac Allister and Szoboszlai wrapped up rather quickly which was good.

Henderson and Fabinho transfers were an unexpected spanner in the works.

Still the earlier part of August - would like a DM and a CB - hopefully get both. I'd be happy enough with the window if we finish it having acquired 3 new midfielders (got two so far) and a centre-back.

Strongest links are Labs, Andre and possibly Perr Schuurs, which wouldn’t be a disaster but it wouldn’t be Caicedo and Gvardiol either.

No idea how Schuurs and Andre would look in the Prem, both risky signings if they come.
