I dont get the need for false defenders playing in fullback areas. nothing wrong with 4/3/3 its served us well. I do not want to see Trent inside in the centre of midfield and the right back area exposed.. Its happening to often. and gives us hell of a problem in the centre back positions when either Konate or Matip is pushed over.. leaves you with 1 centre back and Roberson pushed into the left sided centre back position. again leaving space on our left then..
Shame we werent in for Caicedo hes equally adept to play at RB as well. but that would mean spending money and no thats not permitted Either TTA is a fullback or a centre midfielder he cant play both positions in one game (imo)

I'd be happy with what we've got if we spunk the remaining budget on Caicedo.

Also distinctly average in the air, which isn't something Klopp goes for in centre-backs - so we won't pay over our valuation for someone who is weaker in a key area. For the record I personally would happily sign the move off as he is good in other areas and could give us 10 years, but hey ho.

Also we aren't in the Champion's League, with players involved in our peak under Klopp departing, making us a less attractive destination temporarily.

Appreciate that we don't spend as much as everyone would like, but not every single transfer will break down for that reason - otherwise moves like Mac Allister and Szoboszlai wouldn't happen at all.

The most disappointing thing is the fact it's another top quality player we've gone nowhere near. The sell on resale issue they continue to pursue is hampering us now. The whole point is to build a squad that can win things not just sell players on in future for profit.

We’ve a net spend of £42m like the big club we are
