    Still a terrible transfer strategy over the past few seasons, regardless of this transfer. We still could do with another midfielder and strengthening in defence.... But thankful we've got a good DM in (finally)....

    Man some of you are never happy! FSG doesn't spend. When they do, it wasn't in a timely fashion.

    I'd much rather have FSG running this club than the glazers or any oil / state company.

    We've had the (pound for pound) best manager on the planet for over 7 years now, and in the grand scheme of things, won diddly squat.
    How many transfer windows were fecked up in that time and we lost the League by a point? Or a player or two short of winning the CL?
    Barren transfer windows doth not an elite winning team maketh....

    Even Ramano reporting it as done with medical booked. Crazy if it happens. Would be great if we can sneak in a defender too

    We've won everything. Should have had another CL and PL to that haul. Not sure that comes down to transfer strategy but we have under invested which has let the squad age. I think we saw that last season.

    Still not a FSG fan

    Absolutely Vin. We should have been putting City in the shade with a few tweaks here and there. It's a real opportunity missed having Klopp at the helm.
    I mean, what elite club goes through any summer window without strengthening? It's a recipe for disaster with such a small squad each season....
    No wonder squad burnout is such a catastrophe when it happens....

    I'm absolutely delighted with the Caicedo capture, but one swallow does not a summer make. Let's hope there's more to follow...

    Agree, makes you wonder what the demands were from the Bellingham camp for FSG to deem an initial Ł80m raising to Ł115m too expensive yet are willing to spend Ł110m on Caicedo
