Hoping and praying that there’s not a high profile exit on the cards to pay for this.
I bet you can squeal like a pig!

How many transfer windows were fecked up in that time and we lost the League by a point? Or a player or two short of winning the CL?
Barren transfer windows doth not an elite winning team maketh....
As I said - Caicedo and a British record transfer fee is pure theatre. The type that keeps the lowest common denominator in check. These folk are so easy to manipulate.

It’s brilliant PR. The pundits will shut up about our pathetic backing of Klopp and many of the ‘faithful’ instantly believe we can challenge. No seriously. They will champion the leeches, dragging their knuckles on the ground and come out swinging.

    And on it goes.

Agree. Should be a great signing but I'm not singing FSGs praises at all as this kind of thing should have happened long before now. After the horse has bolted etc.

    Bet Jürgen is reasonably happy.

    PS. I'm a c#@t.

Wonder if Brighton will go for Lavia now.

If they sign a young unknown midfielder for buttons we should be all over that.

I wonder if Klopp threatened to quit for them to act? Over the lack of business and being so close to start of season.

It's mental we weren't in for him at all and suddenly there's a record deal being done in the days they've been getting pelters from all sides.

And this is the effect of Sports-washing.

Fans genuinely believe it was our transfer strategy that cost us League titles by a solitary point and not an illegitimate, rule-breaking, 115 charges entity that illegally assembled a squad in laboratory conditions and has players visit a Doctor who was around for failed drugs tests their Manager had to take, that rarely has lengthy injuries to deal with.

Nobody is saying our transfer strategy is perfect, but it is not the root cause of us missing out on those 2 League titles. Man City, in their current guise, shouldn't even exist.

I can't see it. With him being 'properly' homegrown I can't see us moving him on.

On paper this should be the perfect player for us if we continue with Trent at RM/MF as the two players should be able to switch.
Financially in an awkward way it might make a modicum of sense down the road if we now ditch our plans for Lavia; any club that stands by a ridiculous valuation we can walk away from, not being held to ransom.
