How many transfer windows were fecked up in that time and we lost the League by a point? Or a player or two short of winning the CL?

As I said - Caicedo and a British record transfer fee is pure theatre. The type that keeps the lowest common denominator in check. These folk are so easy to manipulate.

We've won everything. Should have had another CL and PL to that haul. Not sure that comes down to transfer strategy but we have under invested which has let the squad age. I think we saw that last season.

Agree. Should be a great signing but I'm not singing FSGs praises at all as this kind of thing should have happened long before now. After the horse has bolted etc.

Man some of you are never happy! FSG doesn't spend. When they do, it wasn't in a timely fashion.

I'd much rather have FSG running this club than the glazers or any oil / state company.

And this is the effect of Sports-washing.

Fans genuinely believe it was our transfer strategy that cost us League titles by a solitary point and not an illegitimate, rule-breaking, 115 charges entity that illegally assembled a squad in laboratory conditions and has players visit a Doctor who was around for failed drugs tests their Manager had to take, that rarely has lengthy injuries to deal with.

Nobody is saying our transfer strategy is perfect, but it is not the root cause of us missing out on those 2 League titles. Man City, in their current guise, shouldn't even exist.

I can't see it. With him being 'properly' homegrown I can't see us moving him on.

On paper this should be the perfect player for us if we continue with Trent at RM/MF as the two players should be able to switch.
Financially in an awkward way it might make a modicum of sense down the road if we now ditch our plans for Lavia; any club that stands by a ridiculous valuation we can walk away from, not being held to ransom.
