Anyway, it’s not done yet. When I see him in his No6 Liverpool shirt, signing a 5 year deal, I will believe it.

Fans genuinely believe it was our transfer strategy that cost us League titles by a solitary point and not an illegitimate, rule-breaking, 115 charges entity that illegally assembled a squad in laboratory conditions and has players visit a Doctor who was around for failed drugs tests their Manager had to take, that rarely has lengthy injuries to deal with.

Nobody is saying our transfer strategy is perfect, but it is not the root cause of us missing out on those 2 League titles. Man City, in their current guise, shouldn't even exist.
It was FSG's pathetic backing that cost us. Getting so close so often with too little in reserve is what killed us. Sorry mate but for me, you are way out on this.. Think you are looking at it from an entirely skewed perspective..

    I'll repeat myself Sid....
What ELITE club goes through transfer windows without strengthening?
Or indeed (Gini being one) letting vital players leave without replacing them?
Penny pinching at its finest, and that's not good enough for LFC. Absolutely no way!

The prize for winning the title.. and following the winning of number 6 just the year before - "having bills to pay"..?

    Here is the prize Jurgen..

    https://www.football365.com/news/transfers-premier-league-five-year-net-spend-man-utd-man-city

9th... count it... n n n ninth in the net spend league even after those mega wins

This deal for Caicedo was an obvious one from my perspective. Lose all those pay checks take in those fees and then go heavy on a headline grabbing deal to keep the wolf from the door. Jurgen will have made an ultimatum to these snide pigs.

Hopefully no more outgoings or we'll be no further forward.

We've revamped the midfield in one window. Job Done.

Yep hopefully there's no more leaving but I'd be surprised. There's still nearly three weeks before the window closes.

    Still need a CB too.

    @Sid....

City are City and there's nothing we can do about that, though the authorities should....
But imagine this.... Klopp joined Utd back in 2015..........
Imagine he had Ł80m to strengthen every single window in all that time?
We'd be England's second most successful club by a distance pal.
For all the flak the Glazers get. They do back their managers financially...

If will be true the signing of Caicedo, will be exactly what we really need. Will be a player that will be on our first eleven and not a player with "potential" because he already proven his quality
