Regarding 'due diligence', it seems according to the mirror and the echo, that Caicedo's 'camp' told out club that he would be happy to join Liverpool if a bid came in. So those of you saying we just dived in without prior contact and stuff like that, I think you're wrong.
I think this is mostly his agent trying to get more money for himself, which apparently will happen if he goes to Chelsea.
All the quotes about him only wanting to go to Chelsea seem to be coming from Chelsea Football club.
I haven't seen any direct quote from Caicedo himself saying he will only go to Chelsea or that he doesn't want to go to Liverpool.
