As much as I wouldn't want to lose him, this is what Madrid have done successfully for a long time now, sell big stars that still have some miles on the clock for massive fees.

FSG, for all that they receive critique, are pretty measured in much of their approach.

They'll know that a Salah departure now would risk the Champion's League gravy train and that we would only have to go and replace Salah anyway.

If we sell this Summer (I very much doubt we will but we don't have long to wait to find out) I would be pretty surprised - but it would have been discussed and analysed in depth in terms of pros and cons and would not simply be a case of "ooooh, instant cash injection" or whatever.
