The injury records of our new lads looks encouraging. I'm sure our medical department is saying "hold my Beer" and Endo will suddenly miss a spell just due to Sod's Lawbut hopefully some resilience in the new lads. If there is, it means we can use the more injury-prone lads a little more sparingly and they'll hopefully be more available as a result!

On paper i'm very happy, it's Jurgen and the coaching staff materialising that into what it can be that worries me most unfortunately having being made to suffer through a dismal attempted evolution and wasted opportunities to evolve existing players games and seeing our appalling first season use and management of Nunez, almost all of it through a lack of imagination and more detailed coaching
To me it seems we don't even use our video library and video analysis department as a detailed and important part of training and development process, which like the lame status quo 'that's how we've always done it' crap i found at LBM 4UB usniess, Npower PBS and Taxwise from alleged professionals is woefully fucking inadequate
My main skill is being very entrepreneurial within existing business models, mostly through not being limited and restricted in my approach to things by the seemingly desperate need to conform to the status quo of wherever they land almost everyone else seems blighted by

hopefully Bajcectic will become good enough for are DM position to start... we don't really have a DM still apart from Endo, and not sure about him tbh but can't judge yet obviously

Bajcetic could possibly fill the 6 role much in the same fashion as Didi Hammam did. Not the big athletic unit covering huge ground over the 90 minutes laying waste to the opposition, more reading the game well, getting in the way, breaking up attacks and being extremely good at keeping possession having won it back.
He’s very young and it’s impossible to know how his game will develop but right now, he could do a passable Didi impression

Plenty could go wrong, but worrying about it won't impact the outcome.
What could possibly go right? Quite a lot - six of our eight midfielders are now aged 18-24, five of those being 18-22. Four of our five high quality attackers are below 30. The lads who have departed were older, battle-worn or injury-prone. We've got 7 points from 9 when two of our fixtures were tough away games which are now boxed off with the points in the bag and we are already 4 points ahead of pretenders Newcastle.
If we can overcome Aston Villa then 10-from-12 would represent an excellent start and whilst I don't foresee a title challenge, we could possibly see a side featuring Klopp's new-look attack and new-look midfield finish in the Champion's League spots when there's more competition than ever and possibly a trophy to go along with it. We managed Champion's League football (on the final day of the season!) in 16/17 and that represented a springboard to go and do bigger and better things - we might end up being at that stage of this side's trajectory and so many components of the side (Jota, Diaz, Gakpo, Núñez, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch, Jones, Elliott, Bajcetic, Trent, Konate) have anywhere between 3-6 years left at the top of their game whilst senior figures who have done it all for us like Alisson, Robertson and Van Dijk still have a bit more in the tank to help guide this next lot through - and for all we know Alisson could be one of those keepers who remains brilliant for some time yet as so much of his game is about footwork, reading the opposition's position and getting himself into the right area rather than athletic, cat-like reflex sort of saves.
Bigger in-at-the-deep-end situation for Quansah than I would have liked, granted. I'd have liked a centre-back, think that's a pretty universal feeling. January isn't too far away though if we get stuck, but we do now have the legs in midfield to reduce the pressure on the centre-backs anyway, so that should help - plus we have some serious attacking options to hopefully kill some matches off. Not many sides will dare play a high line with Núñez on the pitch and if they do drop deeper, a lot of our mids now look to have technical ability, so we can hopefully capitalise on possession and make the most of it should we need to camp in an opposition's half.
We now have more solutions than we have problems and if we make it 10-from-12 this weekend against Aston Villa, the picture will look bright.
