    Also Bacjetic?
Klopp referenced "still growing these boys" with Bajcetic at one stage - I suspect that we are doing everything to protect Bajcetic from a set-back. Jones had issues with his shins that I think were partly growth-related so perhaps there's some mitigation and Nuance with Stefan's injury and we want to be absolutely certain before easing him back in? Honestly don't know.

Thiago is meant to be back in the later stages of January. I don't care too much when he's back - if it ends up being mid-February or something then fine - main thing for me is that he is fit for a spell. Even if he could manage 4-6 weeks (which isn't very long at all) with no complications, he would provide a further chance for rotation that would ease pressure on the midfield unit so we don't end up burning any individual out at a key stage of the season.

If we are really stuck we could use Gakpo as an 8 once or twice.
Rumours that macca is out for longer than expected. So maybe we see him next season?

Our midfield options don't look too great right now.

Just reading a report from pearce.

Gravenberch should be OK for this week. It was just fatigue rather than a hamstring strain.

    Jota close to a return.

Doak requires surgery on a knee injury. Is that his 2nd surgery in 12months?

    They cited fatigue…?

The lad suffered fatigue an hour in at Anfield v a team that parked the bus..?

He’s only played 500 odd minutes in the league this season. Cotton wool time.

Bloody hell. Wondering who will be fit enough to face WH at this rate.

Open to correction/discussion on this but I doubt the fatigue issue is down to that specific performance - the change of club will mean a change of training regimens and fluctuations in certain types of fitness - might just be taking him a bit of time to physically acclimatise - the lack of minutes he was getting at his last club combined with not yet being a mainstay starter for us may be going against him

Doubt he is an Ozil type where he can only manage 65 minutes - but who knows? Glad he isn't out for long anyway!

The official term is Doms which I think is essentially muscle damage but like a strain or tear. Causes pain in the hamstring but should clear up in a few days.

As Sid has said, is say it's more the change of club and intensity. He hadn't played much football before joining us either and he is young. Maybe the body isn't fully developed.

(imo) our medical staff are fucking useless. Take Mac Allister, they allowed him back on in the game , probably made the injury worse. they are PAID to get the diagnosis correctly. If you can't spot the severity of an injury immediately get another job.
Now they are probably being over cautious and put his availability back a week.
Jota was due back sooner now hes not.
