Just a reminder that when Klopp joined us he had only one the Bundesliga once (although had been to the CL final and lost), and likewise when Rafa joined us he had one La Liga only once.

So if Xabi joined us having only won the Bundesliga once (assuming he does go on to win it), he'll be no different than our last two most successful managers when they first joined us.

It'd be great if we could stop pretending like someone can only join us to manage the team only when they've had oodles and decades of achievements and titles won behind them.

As i recalll both Klopp & Rafa had won their leagues title TWICE.

Interested on peoples thoughts on Xavi or Zidane. Just to talk about different options other than the favourites.
Not that I think they'd get the job but their names have been mentioned. Xavi would be an intriguing one for me, eona league title against the odds in some ways with a pretty bang average squad. Not sure if he speaks Englesi though. I'd imagine that might be a factor in any potential managers credentials.

It’s incredibly difficult, but Alonso would be my preferred choice, but I very much doubt it would be plain sailing and business as usual. We would all need to be prepared for a couple of mediocre seasons while he gets to grips with the new challenge. That’s not something we see very often in the world of football nowadays.
