Gravel’s not up to speed in the press & counter press, it took Elliott & Jones over 2 seasons to get up to speed with it, I’ve continually said that needs to be worked on for everything else to fall into place

He hasn’t had a decent game at RCM yet either he’s better from LCM a lot better & that gives us a left to right switch from there we don’t have with Jones & we’re missing Nunez’s quality & consistency of compared to Diaz

He’s just shoved off the ball from Rice, missing Szobo there

I'd take out Gravenberch for Elliot or Thiago at the break.

He's just given nothing this half.
He offers himself as no option to Macca or the defense to outlet pass to.
He isn't any help on the counterpress, and is just too easily taken off the ballwhen he has it.

I'd worry that we'd get more of the same from Elliot, but he seems to perform better when he comes off the bench, and I'd worry about Thiago being off the pace coming back from injury or about his propensity to commit needless fouls.

But either would be an upgrade over Gravenberch at the moment.

We look terrified to engage them further up. Giving them massive respect.

Atleast you get work rate from Elliot if not much else. I've no idea why Gravenberch was selected for this, he's done nothing at all to show he'd be useful in this fixture.
We surely won't be as bad as this second half.
