I think that too.Hope we get Alonso though. You can see by the way that Leverkusen play that it's not a passing fad, and he's flavour of the month. It's the product of an excellent football brain, and great coaching. Wouldn't mind if he brought that Florian Wirtz with him too. What a player.

Can see Wirtz being an £80m+ acquisition as Bayer won't want their team ripped apart if Alonso departs (and I can't see us spending that much on a single forward-thinking player unless someone departs) but Alonso is the stand-out for me as well - just ticks so many boxes and I think the timing may go in his favour a bit in terms of getting started with us.

We have agreed that we will end our working relationship at the end of this season," said Tuchel.

#1 choice for bayern too, see nothing is simple or nailed on, no point talking about it, manager speculation is worse than mbappe before!

That's what bayern do best, look at dortmund!

With alonso too, he's perfect for them, league experience- and you betcha they'll raid Leverkusen just like the did with dortmund in the summer.

a few players at least, the EPL will try to take the rest, I reckon Frimpong will be in the prem next season, probably arsenal perhaps utd, I'd like him here, him and bradley at RB trent at no6

It's Xabi and his backroom team for LFC for sure. That's why there's a clear out here with Jürgen and his backroom staff...
It was negotiated in the 3 months between Jürgen handing in his notice and it being made public....

Nagelsman and Tuchel should be absolutely nowhere near the conversation in my opinion.
Either of them and I'd be worried.

Tuchel would cause an argument in an empty room. Alonso or no one!

You’d hope (given that the owners knew since early November) that the 1st choice is already lined up and agreed with the other club.

It would be a major blow if we thought we had Alonso only to be told 3 months later that he’s going to replace Tuchel

I'd imagine it'll defo be an issue now. I doubt anything is signed and sealed at this point so if Bayern are going to try and steal a match on us then it gives Xabi something to think about.
