What did henderson ever do?

Led us to a Champions League & Premier League title a 4 other trophies & but for being robbed by FAPGMOL it would have been 3 Premier League titles we also got stitched up by appalling officiating & in our last final stewarding in 2 more Champions League finals

He was absolutely instrumental in winning both the big ones in 18-19 our season was fizzling out & we were regularly being exposed through teams exploiting Fab’s weaknesses in transition to release players in behind Trent he came back in and stopped the rot

Then when Fab got injured in 19-20 & he stepped in as a different kind d if No6 culminating in our winning the Prem & him winning POTY he was superb notching up goals assists passes before the assist & creating numerous big chances releasing players with his pin point medium to long balls and centre to left and right balls for the forwards & full backs to do so

For all the talent and more diverse talent we have in midfield now we STILL don’t have a mid who can release our forwards with those medium to long up and down balls, Mac Gravenberch & Szlobo do all have the excellent ability on switches & much cuter & incisive short to medium through the lines passing in our new look side

Also worth remembering that when Hendo was captain he was our ONLY mid who could play those up and down balls and switches to release Mo and Mane & other than that Trent & Virgil chipped in with some making the play from deep

Virgil’s grown into the captain role this season he’s taken his time to get there & become a proper leader in fairness he doesn’t direct & organise the other players as Hendo & other midfield captains we’ve had in the past like Whelan Crazy Horse & Souness did mind, but

VVD took ages to become credible as captain Hendo & Millie were comfortably our best two but I think a midfield captain is always more influential anyway as thry can influence & direct more players

Why did no other team..... ever want to buy henderson off us or try? world class was he? No.

VVD has put in some real captains performances, more than I ever seen henderson do, who was to busy arguing with team mates and shouting at them for his own mistakes and flaws.

Look at the difference in midfield when fit...... actually having QUALITY

Henderson played in a midfield in which every single other mid was incapable of hitting a quality switch or a quality up and down ball to release a player to score assist or create a big chance now we have four mids who can do all that & more except the up and down ball

He passed the ball to suit our players & style of play releasing then to score & assist regularly which is more than that fucking show point Thiago ever did

He read the game and positioned himself and led the press and counter press especially from No6 superbly which is infinitely more than Fab ever did both Mac & Endo absolutely piss on Fab in this respect neither ours on Hendo at it though, Thiago was also shit at this Mac pisses all over Thiago in everything he does
