Odd performance from Diaz, he takes one of those chances and he’s motm by a distance, as it is I give it to Elliott, non stop energy and determination all game, excellent performance from him.

That's true. Should have been home and hoses. Our record against the other contenders will be pivotal. We haven't managed to take three points off any of them.

Think our mentality edges it for us in this race. Moments today like Mac being made to wait to take the pen with Ederson's 'injury'. Keeping our cool after some shite VAR and City's shithousing.
Don't see that calmness in Arsenal.

A win would have been so much better, but we are as in-the-mix as anyone and I will absolutely be taking that - never ever forget being in 6th-8th and relying upon favours from MULTIPLE sides to HOPE for Champion's League football.

Oh and we are still in the Europa League and FA Cup.
Goal difference can change over the remaining games. The worry for me is the energy we are expending game in game out. No easy wins.

Yeah, it doesn't happen often but I just have to say....

I think Klopp got the subs wrong in this one.

Aside from Mo (with whom you always have to take a chance even if he's only at 50%), taking Bradley off for Robbo in retrospect seems like it was a massive downgrade - even though I understand he probably anticipated Pep bringing on Doku and wanted Gomez' experience with Doku. But we lost Bradley's attacking intent with that move.

And don't get me started on taking off Nunez and bringing on the waste of space that's known as Gakpo.

If there's a player who's played himself into a transfer way from the club it should be him.
He had almost no contribution whatsoever to the game and in his only shot - which even though it occurred in an offside sequence of play - he STILL couldn't put the ball into an empty net and rocketed it against the post.

We lost a lot of energy when Klopp brought these subs on.

I appreciate Diaz energy at the end, but my God man, learn how to put your chances away, mate.
That was the title on your feet, twice.

He is a little pocket dynamo ain’t he. Yes he can frustrate but boy does he give his all. Covers so much ground… Much more effective than many credit him with too

should have got firmino back in January if it meant a tempoary cover until summer when we get someone to replace Gakpo

He's a forward stevo, needs to put the ball in the net mate instead of a 10/10 today gets 6/10 he cost us a vital win

Walcott and SWP ran a lot too, so does Traoré

    Endo take a bow son.
    This.

He was so good at his task today he practically chased off Bacon face having a bit of strop, from the game, so much so that had to be calmed down and comforted by Pep on the bench.

The Endo man bossed that midfield.

Nunez for Gakpo was baffling. Especially so early. Gakpo is rapid playing his way out of Anfield. Completely ineffective again despite us being so dominant.
Overall a quality performance that deserved a win.

I think even Voronin was more effective, would be better origi still being here

35m wasted it's why you have to be careful of signing a player who's had a good tournament international stage....

he'll probably end up getting loaned out for the next 3 seasons then sold for 10m
