They brought themselves here. So yes they have themselves to blame. That 1 title hasn't shaken of the baggage of not winning the league for the 30 years. Of all the teams chasing for a title. Liverpool are the ones who enjoy it the least, no one I that stadium believed or enjoyed the moment we are in. Young lads have placed us in an incredible position and few are behind them. This is the best we are going to have for a while. 2019 last 8 games was the same nervous energy. People stopped dreaming they were now so tense. I remember in 2018-2019 we had won nothing but every game Allez Allez was bouncing. Flares going off, people spitting blood in support. This is very unaprecistivr, ever since we got that big gap in 2020 season I feel we became non believers we lost that appreciation of what was being done.the 2022 season was similar. People can not appreciate a squad putting together a near perfect season. Winning a trophy is not a given. We should appreciate that. Maybe we need to go another 30 yrs without a title so that we can appreciate when a group of human beings give their absolute skins and come I short and have vile and anguish and moaning thrown at them. I don't like when Anfield is like that. People walking out on a Klopp and the boys who have given us a brilliant season. This is not the Liverpool i love. We dotn have the resources of other clubs but what we always had was belief, the terrace the 12th man. Since Klopp came we kind of have lost that because we stopped being underdogs and believing in magic. Each time Konate had the ball you could feel people groaning I don't like.

180 minutes of football v Atalanta and Crystal Palace at Anfield… Not a single goal.

IMO this was always going to happen this season, just a matter of when. Winning games at the death after being behind time and time again - catches up with you - just as playing the relentless high intensity game Klopp has had to adopt to make us competitive leads to boom and bust.

I am utterly gutted despite being almost ready to put my mortgage on a semi collapse like this. I could see it in Klopp’s face and in his players.

This game was a little different, I don't think they could handle the pressure. Towards the end no one wanted to take a chance because when they messed up the crowd let them know. As soon as someone won the ball under pressure they'd pass it to a guy with 2/3 defenders near him instead of taking a moment and finding a better pass.

In defence you had everyone being dragged towards the ball even when a team mate was there. I was hoping they'd calm down a bit after the break but it just continued.
In all honesty though, we struggle to break down opponents when we calm down so I guess we might have been doomed anyway.

No one looked too lax like the previous game.
Just not enough quality or mentality monsters.
