Given the choice of having Robbo or Trent released in space wide or to burst through the channel to create something or Diaz or Szobo I’d choose Robbo or Trent or Bradley every single time

For me we’re trying to play tappy crappy City style, with the exceptions that they have been playing that way & have long established patterns of movement for the intricate play around the box we don’t & have no consistency or movement or recognisable patterns of play that provide constants for players in it
Thry continually spread the play using the entire pitch going wide one side coming back & spreading it to the other side where there’s space
And they consistently have players remain in good counter pressing positions & picking up
We had too many players nowhere near good counter pressing positions second half tonight running 19-15 yards to close down a player when done right we should be on them as they receive it
We’re resembling 19-20 City when they had gone to playing too short all the time and struggled with sides pressing and countering on them and playing through them on the counter too easy because they’d stopped taking good counter pressing positions and had too many in space not picking up trying to get involved in the tappy crappy
Except they at least had their developed over 4 seasons short game patterns of play and movement around the box
Given the choice of having Robbo or Trent released in space wide or to burst through the channel to create something or Diaz or Szobo I’d choose Robbo or Trent or Bradley every single time
At least it’s a win and an improved performance in the first half at least and Trent Jones & Szobo all got much needed minutes
Need to keep going & not let our levels drop through things like the non red card & Mo’s miss, we need to get back to believing we’ll create more and we’ll put the next one away and work & strive really hard to make sure we do, relentlessly
I would like to see us attack teams more as we used to using the width & full backs more, with our former more limited short game combined with our direct game & vastly superior pressing and counter pressing we used to test teams in every way imaginable I’d like to see us return to doing that and using everything at our disposal
Liverpoodle FC
When I've broken down the net spend, you pointed to unique Madrid. They are so unique. They could not be compared to litlle lfc. That was your excuse to exclude them. Of course lfc could be compared with anyone else, although the 3rd most CL titles, they can be compared with relative no marks. And barca, they could not be compared to real either, although their direct rival. The Spanish United to Spains LFC.
Interestingly unique Madrid also pushed for ESL to rectify the FFP failure that sees city the biggest revenue team last year. Unlike barca they've not busted themselves #shitowners
Maybe Bayer leverkusen are the unique Madrid of Germany. Maybe that's how they've succeeded with a low net spend. Just using all their unique title domination to attract the top stars to leverkusen.
Or do you have a new reason to exclude them.
Maybe Alonso is asking them to play 100 million miles an hour, like klopp as you see it, and not like Klopp when you need to shift your position.
Same as when discussing unique Madrid, you stated we couldn't be compared with them on net spend, they sooo unique, then you introduced gross spend as your winner.
Real unique no more.
I pointed out we have outspent them gross since Jwh arrived and moreso under Klopp, then your real had their uniqueness reinstated when your argument fell apart. Didn't serve you.
That's how unique and incomparable Madrid are in your opinion. Unique when it serves you and comparable when you thought it served you to compare. Then unique again.
That's your weak m.o. when it comes to discussions.
