We used to release our forwards & full backs & score frequently only committing 3 or 4 to an attack

I hope Slot returns to that, I’ve got pissed off with us trying to be like City over the last 3 seasons, it was always a shit idea in my book as we do t have those type of players & it’s like starting again, you can’t decide oh we’re going to try & play like them and Mr Ben appears & it works as if by magic

So many here have been moaning about wanting more attacking & creative mids for 5 or 6 seasons, well is it panning out as you expected? Doesn’t look like it to me

They won the League last season having only lost 2 League games.

They finished runners-up this season having only lost 2 games, finishing with a higher points tally and the highest points tally that Feyenoord have ever recorded. They were very unlucky this season to be up against a PSV side that won their first 17 League games in a row.

I don't expect Slot's Liverpool to hit the ground running as there will be an adjustment period - but if he can adapt his tactics to the pace and power of the Premier League relatively quickly, we should be fine.

- Man City are Man City.
- Arsenal will further add to a talented, youthful squad.
- Aston Villa look good but juggling Champion's League football and Top Four will be a challenge.
- Outside of this, sides like Tottenham, Newcastle and Chelsea need more time whilst Man United remain something of a mess.

Despite a lot of change with the backroom staff and an inevitable adjustment period with a new coach, I am quietly confident of a reasonable run in the Champion's League (not sure what to expect with the new format) and of finishing in the Champion's League spots unless we recruit poorly (seems less likely with Edwards back) or sell the wrong players.

Should we finish the 24/25 season having done the above (we'll call it a "stable" season) then we should be well able to build from there.

I am really positive Slot can be a good fit for us, he is inheriting mostly higher level players (all aspects of play considered) who can all already do almost everything he had his former players do & players he had I’ve watched had some really nice variation in their passing & crossing that equipped them for the shorter & more direct game

I hope he is very well supported in our ensuring we get the 4 or 5 quality signings we need for players leaving & to strengthen areas that have become weakened in the last 2 seasons & they get him the best possible staff for the positions that need filling
