Antonio Rudiger is now Scotland’s joint top scorer in tournament football in the last 25 years.

Christian Eriksen had a cardiac arrest in Denmark's opening game of Euro 2020 and he scores a goal in their Euro 2024 opener.

I thought we controlled the game for long periods, rode our luck a bit a times, no easy games at this level but we did what we had to do and got over the line and got the 3 points and that puts us in a good position to qualify and we will improve as the tournament goes on, blah blah

Yep Engerland great start - 30 minutes of very good football until Serbia stopped backing off. The instant the Serbs decided to match them mano e mano Engerland lost control and were on the back foot mostly.

Kane doing his usual diving routine. If Serbia had anything vaguely resembling a striker in that second half they probably score a couple.

Bellingham clearly heads and shoulders above the rest.

How do we think Trent got on in Midfield? Seems a bit redudent playing there to be honest, when other than Saka there is zero pace in the England side. He'd have been better off playing wide right.

He did ok. That's about it really. One very good cross-field-long-pass for the Engerlander studio media to cream over with Fabregas looking on with a knowing smirk... Some decent short to mid length passing too at times when afforded the room to operate in. BUT when pressed - he almost gave away a goal and would have done to a better side. Struggles to win duels. Didn't ever really get to grips with the pace of the game in the middle - and that was v a very pedestrian half a asleep Serbia side. Once they finally woke up.. things got pretty dicey.

The fact that Trent can play in the middle shouldn't really obscure the fact that he isn't close to his best there.

Going off 1 performance, he nearly gave away 2 goals and hopefully slot has another plan for him. Defensively weak rb's tend not to make good 6's.
