Germany as hosts always have that massive advantage - that was the only way we got a star on the shirt in '66. Not quite as easy to orchestrate (ahem rig) these tournaments today as it was then, but ze Germanz are obviously fancied well.

Spain look the pick of the bunch to my eye - but as you say - too early to tell. Pretty sure Engerland will progress and then much depends on the draws. What usually happens is the best sides take each other out leaving us to profit in the last 16 and quarters.
